Let's Talk About The Evil Rich

What can you buy for $1.4 billion a year?
You can buy the most luxurious and costly self proclaimed royal presidency in history.
Taxpayers spent $1.4 billion dollars on everything from staffing, housing, flying and entertaining President Obama and his family last year, according to the author of a new book on taxpayer-funded presidential perks.

In comparison, British taxpayers spent just $57.8 million on the royal family.

Author Robert Keith Gray writes in Presidential Perks Gone Royal that Obama isn’t the only president to have taken advantage of the expensive trappings of his office. But the amount of money spent on the first family, he argues, has risen tremendously under the Obama administration and needs to be reined in.

Gray told The Daily Caller that the $1.4 billion spent on the Obama family last year is the total cost of the presidency, factoring the cost of the biggest staff in history at the highest wages ever, a 50 percent increase in the numbers of appointed czars and an Air Force One running with the frequency of a scheduled air line.

Perspective: $1.4 billion is equal to spending seven times Mitt Romney's entire net-worth every year. If Romney had to pay for Barack and Michelle's lifestyle this year, he would have been bankrupt by the third week in February.

Now, can we please get back to talking about the evil, freeloading rich, who didn’t build anything?

Blog Break

One Can Only Hope ...

I know I currently have over 80 followers but, after some investigation, it seems that only have about one or two actual active readers. Looks like a lot of people have "retired" from blogging. If anyone is listening, I am taking a short break from the blog unless something really interesting happens.

Nullification Of Unconstitutional Laws Encouraged By States

That Painful Feeling We All Share Is Real

I found this article in our local paper this morning and had to share. The writer expresses My Thoughts Exactly. My Thoughts noted thusly: [ ].
Nullification Encouraged

The Augusta Chronicle
Published: Waycross Journal-Herald, Monday, January 28, 2013

You may have heard the word "nullification" bandied about recently. It's basically a fancy word for ignoring a law.

Juries sometimes do it, if they think enforcement of a law will result in an injustice. [Actually, that's encouraged.] Merriam-Webster defines nullification as "the action of a state impeding or attempting to prevent the operation and enforcement within its territory of a law of the United States."

And now, increasing numbers of sheriffs and others across the country are publicly saying they will engage in nullification if faced by federal gun or health care laws they find unconstitutional. Ignoring laws is rarely a good thing. We'd say never – but we're reminded of Rosa Parks' and other civil rights icons' peaceful defiance of the immoral laws and customs of segregation.

An increasing number of folks are no less convinced that Washington is trampling on other civil rights. [Yah, think?!]

Sheriffs in Idaho, Oregon and Texas have announced their intent not to go along with expected gun control laws. Other officials have said they won't enforce the health care law. A state representative in Tennessee wants to make it a crime to enforce gun or ammunition bans in that state. And several hundred gathered at the South Carolina capitol recently for a "Nullify Obamacare" rally. They were promised efforts by several state officials to block "federal encroachment."

There's a proud tradition of states' rights in South Carolina – exemplified not that long ago by the light bulb. When federal law began phasing out production of the incandescent light bulb, South Carolina lawmakers passed "The Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act" to allow for its production and sale within the state, which Washington can't prevent.

But nullification has rarely seen this much favor since the Civil War, and may only gain steam if Washington continues down the path of trying to run [i.e. micro-manage] everyone's lives.

Washington may have no one but itself to blame for the rise of the nullification movement – particularly the Obama administration, which has set the standard for ignoring the law.

It was this administration, after all, that decided not to enforce the Defense of Marriage Act. Even though the "Dream Act" can't pass Congress, Mr. Obama "enacted" it via executive order – announcing that his administration would not deport illegal aliens who came here as minors. There is no such exception in the law.

His administration also announced that marijuana crimes would not be a "priority" – again, picking and choosing which laws to enforce.

When it appeared the defense industry might have to issue layoff notices to workers because of impending "sequestration" cuts just before the November election, the Obama administration encouraged contractors to ignore the law that seemed to require the notices. [Two can play at that game, Mr. "President".]

The Obama administration also tried to block enforcement of state anti-voter-fraud laws last year.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Senate has failed to pass a budget as required by law the past four years – and the Obama administration has announced it won't have a federal budget ready by the statutory deadline.

We don't endorse the ignoring of laws. But if there's a growing sentiment of defiance toward enforcement of federal laws in the land, Washington can't exactly throw stones.

It has perfected the art.

Amen to that!

And isn't it great To remember Who is really in control, and that; "the Word of the Lord endures forever." (1 Peter 1:25)

Abortion Murders More People Than Guns

The American Thinker has an excellent article by Peter Heck, "An Honest And Horrifying Admission"
One of the main reasons I have been telling people in speeches, in writing, and on my radio program that I truly believe we are living in the midst of the generation that will end abortion in America is embodied in Williams' piece. The anti-life left can no longer hide behind some murky confusion of what's happening in the womb. They can no longer candy-coat what they condone. They can no longer pretend there is some great mystery to when human life begins.
I concur! Life begins at conception. Period. End of statement. Even for those who don't believe in our blessed Lord and God have to acknowledge that abortion is the murder of another human being.

I say we ban the REAL threat to human life: politicians who don't believe in the sanctity of human life and abortion clinics.

Sounds like a plan?

Obama Appointments Are Unconstitutional

Poor widdle baby ...

A little good news today concerning our illegal President:

"In an embarrassing setback for President Barack Obama, a federal appeals court ruled Friday that he violated the Constitution [again] in making recess appointments last year, a decision that would severely curtail the president's ability to bypass the Senate to fill administration vacancies."

"If the ruling stands, it means that hundreds of decisions issued by the board over more than a year would be invalid. It also would leave the five-member labor board with just one validly appointed member, effectively shutting it down. The board is allowed to issue decisions only when it has at least three sitting members." [link]

Looks like REAL hope hasn't been banned after all! Have a good weekend y'all. I know I will.

Still Think Banning Something Makes The World Safer?

Then watch this video. It is AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH that the Libtards don't want to share. Banning firearms, or anything, only CAUSES MORE CRIME. Whaddya say, let's stop all these undeclared wars, including the one made up by the Fed's on "drugs", allow all law abiding citizens to arm themselves at all times, get the government out of our lives again and truly make the world safer.

It's What's For Supper

I don't like to cook. It's definately not my cup of tea. Fortunately, my husband is such a wonderful cook he could be a gourmet chef. So, whenever my husband goes off to visit some of his family (long story, don't ask) [grin] he always fixes me a lot of nourishing food so I won't gobble on hot dogs and cereal.

This is what he fixed me this time: pot roast with chopped onions, small red potatoes, carrots, garlic cloves, spices and peas.

This thing has been slow cooking since about 9 this morning.

The aroma has been whafting through the house all day and it's driving me nuts! [ha ha]

Beef.

It's What's For Supper.

There's Someone More Dangerous Than Guns

And, continuing in the same vein of yesterdays post that more people have died from other types of violence not involving guns.

Drone Strikes Kill Maim And Traumatize Too Many Civilians, U.S. Study Says

Many of those killed have been innocent children and two of them where American citizens. Murdered without warning or a trial.

Obama is nothing less than a Seriel Killer. In a suit. With armed guards. And apparently there's no stopping him. The real assault weapon danger is our out-of-control 'president' and his henchmen.

A God-given Right To Self-Defense

GRIZZWELLS® by Bill Schor

I've been waiting for inspiriation (and, yeah, a good cool down on my part) before commenting on the illegal Obama's continued attack on our Second Amendment Rights.

I am so sick of this administration and the brain dead idiots that voted for him. Obama has already pretty much destroyed the First Amendment (Freedom of Speech). So I knew eventually something would happen where he would try to remove the Second Amendment from our list of rights. He is now blaming inanimate objects (weapons) for real or imagined violence. This entire Administration is continuing to use the Constitution for toilet paper. Obama hates us, you know. He wants all American ideals dead and rebuilt in his hatefilled image.

First off, it's a fact that there are more people injured or killed by Energy Drinks than by gun violence. The statistics have doubled since 2007. In 2008 alone, there were 16,000 documented incidents.
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A new government survey suggests the number of people seeking emergency treatment after consuming energy drinks has doubled nationwide during the past four years, the same period in which the supercharged drink industry has surged in popularity in convenience stores, bars and on college campuses.

From 2007 to 2011, the government estimates the number of emergency room visits involving the neon-labeled beverages shot up from about 10,000 to more than 20,000. Most of those cases involved teens or young adults, according to a survey of the nation’s hospitals released late last week by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Source: Waycross Journal-Herald, Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Continuing with that line of thinking, how about the fact that there is ALWAYS a death in an abortion clinic but since that's sancitioned by the government and one of the Left's sacred cows, that is never mentioned.

Also, there were more fatalities in auto accidents in 2010 (32,885 people) than by gun violence. Source: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration

And the comparisions can go on and on and one. Some not-so-well-meaning people need to calm down about "the gun issue" and look at the facts before giving up the right to defend themselves.

Ok, so I didn't cool down all the way. But, why should I?! And why should you?! This issue is extremely important. Passion for truth and justice is needed by good people to stop the tsunami of communism in our country. Here in the South, where we are still relatively free, gun and ammo sales are through the roof. Even we have taken steps to beef up our "stash". I hope everyone else is doing the same. It may be one of many important steps to insure that we preserve our God-given right to self defense. Everyone has the right to not be molested any bad guys, even elected bad guys. It is a God-given right to employ lethal force if necessary to protect the life of yourself and others.

Country Surprises In Pictures

Living in the country, sometimes one sees all manner of nature. Today, driving down a frequented nearby road, I spied a sleeping Barred Owl on a branch. He was a few feet off the road, so, I managed to snap this photo from inside the vehicle.

I made sure to not disturb his beauty rest.

Below, I saw this long ago abandoned barn on Scuffletown Road on our cold, sunny, winters day and had to stop and take a photo.

When I see it I wonder, "Why is the barn abandoned? Are the owners long gone?"

My hubby snapped the photo below of a pond, also on Scuffletown Road. Scuffletown is located in Pierce County, Georgia.

I always see God's handywork in nature. It's His signature on His beautiful creation.

"And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.” Genesis 1:20 ESV

Thank you God for reminding me who You are and who I am in your creation.

North To Alaska

Alaska was purchased in 1867 from Russia, it is our 49th State. With as many television shows that have premiered recently, you'd think it was our ONLY State! Has anyone else noticed how many Alaska themed shows were on last season? I counted at least a dozen:

Alaska: The Last Frontier - [link] One of our very favorites. I’m glad to see the show has been renewed this season. It’s primarily about the Kilcher family who live in an isolated community near Homer. They are subsistence hunters. This is one of our favorite shows.

Alaska’s Artic Wildlife - [link] Lots of pretty pictures of wildlife but boring. Until I looked it up for this blog post, I didn‘t realize it was originally aired in 1997.

Alaska Magazine TV - [link] - Never watched it. It appears it was more pretty pictures.

Alaska Marshal - [link] - I haven’t had the opportunity to view it but the website states they “track down dangerous fugitives”. Sounds exciting.

Alaska State Troopers - [link] - I don’t care for this one because it shows the underbelly of living in the far North. Alaska has a lot of ridiculous laws thanks to the criminal tendencies of the Indians and Eskimos.

Bering Sea Gold - [link] - A good show but none of the featured personalities have any admirable traits.

Buying Alaska - [link] - From their website, “ … looks at properties that feature a range of unique offerings, including the ability to hunt and fish from the back deck, to extreme seclusion. But living in Alaska also comes with disadvantages, including no running water, electricity, indoor bathrooms, or access roads, as well as run ins with bears.” Boy, they’re not kidding about the bears either! They are literally everywhere and so are moose (equally dangerous). It’s advisable to always be armed in Alaska. I especially like this one because I enjoy looking at houses and undeveloped land. It’s fun to see how others live. I get ideas for how to improve our little home that way too.

Flying Wild Alaska - [link] - This show featured the Tweto family. The father, Jim, moved to Alaska in the 1970’s, married a local girl and started his own bush pilot business. It’s now a multi-million dollar enterprise. I think he sold the business or was going to sell it by the end of last season. Sadly, the show is off the air but it was one of our favorite Alaska themed shows.

Gold Rush - [link] - A very popular show. This season is especially interesting. We have our favorite ‘characters’, of course, and are rooting for them to get the Motherload. All the guys on Todd Hoffman’s crew seem like decent, hardworking people but my favorite personality is Dave Turin. He works hard and has good business sense. I think they would be lost without his dedication. The worst person on Gold Rush is the 17 year old Parker Schnabel. He’s a foul-mouthed, temperamental, hot head that will either end up murdered or in jail. He was even recorded saying nasty things about the Producer (not a smart move). Mama didn’t spank him enough growing up, in my opinion.

Ice Road Truckers - [link] - The program follows HGV drivers as they cross frozen lakes and dangerously-thin ice in temperatures of minus 30 degrees in Canada and Alaska. This one was good until they dropped Lisa or she left. It’s no longer on my DVR list.

The Alaska Experiment - I never could get the gist of this show. I think someone was dropping select volunteers off in the vast Yukon wilderness and they had to get back to civilization by a certain time. I found that boring.

Yukon Men - [link] - From their website, “In one of the most remote Alaskan villages, every day is a fight for survival.” And that’s what they do: fight for survival by subsistence hunting, while putting up with the BS laws passed by the government. It’s a good show.

I have no desire to live in Alaska, especially after watching all these shows. It must truly be a beautiful place during the very brief summer. They breed mosquitoes the size of Buicks and the seemingly never ending winter (8 months) would be too much for this native Florida girl. I would be on drugs for sure! Anybody else enjoy Alaska based shows?

You Spend 16 Trillion, And Whaddya Get? Another Day Older And You're Deeper In Debt.

Obama Supporters Going For A Stroll

I can't really tell by the news accounts, but I think the House Republicans are holding firm on Fiscal Cliff budget for more tax cuts? Like the school yard bully he is, Obama has threaten Speaker Boehner with the Lame Stream Media, saying that he would "tell on Boehner" if he didn't give in to all his demands. "So, what else is new," would be my response. If asked. And House Majority Leader Eric Cantor apparently is opposing the Senate bill in its current form. 'Course, the Senate has shot down the budget from the House for four years! HELLO!! At any rate, if passed, it will be the first so-called budget in over four years. I sure miss having a real President.

And some loser by the name of Louis Michael Seidman with the now openly communist New York Times thinks the US Constitution is "evil" and should be abolished: Let's Give Up On The Constitution. No wonder so many yankees are not saved. We really are two countries. There needs to be secession from the Union by the South and Mid-west! The Northeast lacks teachings in self-reliance, the spirit of individualism, and the Judeo-Christian values that support marriage and family! Such values have been driven out by a government that wants the people to depend on it rather than on themselves, their families and their faith. The States of Maine and Maryland are now allowing the mentally ill sodomites to pretend to be married. Lord have mercy.

Oh, yeah, the New Year is starting off with loads of ... uh ... 'love' from our government. Stay tuned folks.

Happy New Year Greetings

It's been quite a year, hasn't it!? For us it's been crazy weather, too many surgeries, traveling, remodeling projects, new motorcycles and a few unplanned adventures. Except for the last election, it's been mostly good events. Life is like a box chocolates, one never knows what one will get.

To celebrate the New Year, we're attending an annual cookout with very dear friends up in Baxley. They live way out in the country too. There will be rifle shooting, 4 wheelin', mass consumptions of wild game and homemade cakes, weenie roasting next to an open fire and more! We will definately be sugared up by early evening. It's always loads of fun. I hope everyone also has family and friends they can hang out with tonight.

Thank you for following my blog and for your always welcome comments. I guess y'all know I do appreciate each and every one of you.

Faith In The Right Person by C. R. Stam

Faith In The Right Person
by Pastor Cornelius R. Stam
Two Minutes With The Bible
Berean Bible Society

Abraham’s faith in God was strong. When God called him to forsake his family, friends and country, he obeyed and “went forth, not knowing whither he went.” When God promised to multiply his seed as the stars of heaven, he believed it, though childless. When, in his old age, God promised that he would still have a son by ninety-year-old Sarah, he believed it even though he had waited so long, seemingly in vain. When God promised to give his seed the land in which he had sojourned, he believed it, though all reason argued against it. When God asked him to offer in sacrifice the son born so late in life, the son upon whom all the promises depended, he obeyed, concluding that it must be God’s plan to raise him from the dead!

Such was Abraham’s faith in God! Three times this is emphasized in Romans 4 alone: He was “not weak in faith” (Ver. 19); he “staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief,” but was “strong in faith” (Ver. 20).

But it was not the strength of Abraham’s faith that saved him; it was the fact that the object of his faith was God (See again Gen. 15:6). He had placed his faith in the right Person. His faith became “strong” only because he had heard and believed God in the first place.
“For what saith the Scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness,” and thus “to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Rom. 4:3,5).

The simplest, humblest believer, who ever so feebly commits himself to God and His Word, is “justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 3:24).

To the Reader:
Some of our Two Minutes articles were written many years ago by Pastor C. R. Stam for publication in newspapers. When many of these articles were later compiled in book form, Pastor Stam wrote this word of explanation in the Preface:

"It should be borne in mind that the newspaper column, Two Minutes With the Bible, has now been published for many years, so that local, national and international events are discussed as if they occurred only recently. Rather than rewrite or date such articles, we have left them just as they were when first published. This, we felt, would add to the interest, especially since our readers understand that they first appeared as newspaper articles."

We hope that you'll agree that while some of the references in these articles are dated, the spiritual truths taught therein are timeless.

A Good Crisis Not Wasted

My heart was greatly grieved by the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, with 20 children and 6 adults being ruthlessly gunned down. But I knew that the Left would try to politicize this heart wrenching tragedy. It's not quite as tragic as an abortion clinic (there’s always a death there but that is considered legal and “Ok“) or the Administration's & MSM sweeping under the rug the tragedy in Benghazi but that's another post.

Obama took time out from his $4 million dollar Hawaiian vacation to capitize on the tragedy. Never mind the looming Fiscal Cliff he and his cronies created. He thinks it's more important to ban something so he'll temporarily look good, then he can go back to swilling Pina Colada's and bad mouthing our country.
Obama on Wednesday directed Vice President Joe Biden to produce recommendations on new gun laws and pledged to push for them without delay.

Along with asking Congress to reinstate the assault weapons ban, Obama asked lawmakers to pass legislation that would close the gun show “loophole,” which allows people to purchase firearms from private dealers without a background check. Obama also said he wanted Congress to pursue the possibility of limiting high-capacity ammunition clips.

[…]

The 1994 ban outlawed specific weapons, including the Colt AR-15, UZI and TEC-9, and high-capacity magazines and clips that held more than 10 bullets. But the law didn’t outlaw the caliber — the approximate internal diameter of the barrel—of any of the high powered weapons used in the most recent mass killings.

[…]

“I am also betting that the majority, the vast majority, of responsible, law-abiding gun owners would be some of the first to say that we should be able to keep an irresponsible, law-breaking few from buying a weapon of war,” Obama said.
Too late! The government already has too many guns and that's our biggest danger.

So, thanks to one mad man, there will be a loss of even more God-given freedoms. “Never let a good crisis go to waste” as Obama’s devout communist hero Rahm Emanuel always says. But don’t worry folks. That which God gives us is sure to be stolen by those in power.

Consider this: no matter how many laws are passed the world will still be a dangerous place. Banning anything only makes it more dangerous or desirable. I think we should arm everyone, especially teachers, like in Israel. That way no school is a target rich environment. Just think how that tragedy wouldn’t have even gone that far if at least one teacher or administrator was packin’ heat.

Surgery Update And A Word From Our Sponsor

In case y’all haven’t noticed, I’m deliberately not talking about the looming fiscal cliff. What can we do? Obama hates us and Congress is a bunch of clowns in suits that only care about themselves. But I‘ll make a prediction, the Republicans will cave and all the demons in Congress hell including Obama, will celebrate. The Republic is dead and no one seems to care anymore.

Fa la la la la la la la la

I’ve got bigger fish to fry.

Anyway, I’m well on the road to recovery from my Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. The surgeon said the procedure was “textbook”: no problems or difficulties where encountered. I didn't like the spending a night in hospital but with all the pain I encountered afterwards I can see why the doc insisted on it. The constant pain down my right side is gone, my hearing is restored on the right side, I no longer lose my vision when tilting my head back and I can lean forward without doubling over in pain. Also my right hip no longer is in searing pain. I don't walk like I'm 90 years old anymore. God has allowed me to be healed. Thank you Lord Jesus for your mercy! Now I can ride, garden, do my crafts, etc. etc. I feel like a kid again! It's wonderful. Thank you everyone for your prayers and kind thoughts.

In the meantime, my sweet hubby has been slowly remodeling the master bathroom. When the house was custom built for us in 1993, I had the not so brilliant idea of installing a “garden tub” in the master bath. I have regretted it ever since! After the first 6 months I so tired of the fancy jets and things and it just sat there unused. Now it’s out! And sitting on our back deck (PS: it’s free to anyone who wants it and can come get it).

Preparing to pull the tub out

Garden tub removed! What a job that was!

Everything was now stripped from the room and ready for sanding and floor preparation.

After laying the new vinyl floor, Sweetie installed the tongue-and-groove 'flooring' that became our paneling.

The "cove" is finished! Now we need to finish the area in front of the shower and in the closet. It never ends, this project.

Also installed new halogen ceiling lights. These are some nice lights. They're so bright I almost get a tan standing under them.

So, that's what we've been up to. Thanks for stopping by! I hope y'all have a great weekend.

Two Minutes With The Bible ~ Rest

Rest
A Two Minutes With The Bible
By Pastor Cornelius R. Stam
Berean Bible Society

In Hebrews 1:3 we read how the Lord Jesus Christ, “when He had by Himself purged our sins, SAT DOWN on the right hand of the Majesty on High”. The tenth chapter of the same book tells us why He sat down:
“Every priest standeth, daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man [Christ] after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, SAT DOWN on the right hand of God …FOR BY ONE OFFERING HE HATH PERFECTED FOREVER THEM THAT ARE SANCTIFIED” (Heb.10:11-14).
There were several articles of furniture in the Old Testament tabernacle, but no chair. The priest could not sit down, for the work of redemption was not yet finished. His daily sacrifices only emphasized the fact that “it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins” (Heb.10:4).

“But this Man [Christ Jesus] sat down”, because by His death on Calvary — by that one offering — He paid for all our sins and “obtained eternal redemption for us”(Heb.10:12; 9:12).

This is why Paul, by divine inspiration, now insists that salvation is “by grace”, that “it is the gift of God”, received “by faith” and “not of works, lest any man should boast”.

God has much for His people to do, but before we can do anything for Him we must learn to trust Him for our salvation, to rest in the finished work of Christ. God is satisfied with Christ’s payment for sin and together the Father and the Son are depicted as seated in heaven because the work is done. And now God would have us simply trust Him, entering into His rest:
“There remaineth therefore a REST unto the people of God, FOR HE THAT HAS ENTERED INTO HIS [God's] REST, HE ALSO HATH CEASED FROM HIS OWN WORKS, AS GOD DID FROM HIS” (Heb.4:9,10).

“Unto him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness” (Rom.4:5).

Dr. Strangetimes OR How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bum

CAUTION: RANT BELOW

The Chinese curse states: "May you live in interesting times." Lordy, I wish these weren't interesting times! I'd give a lot to go back to living in the America that I love again. Maybe what I need is a Tardis so I can go back in time to, say 1800 or so, before socialism crept into our country like a viper about 1850. It really gained speed after the War of Northern Aggression and on into the early 1900's.

But, I digress.

History repeats itself to those who won't learn it. One of the most notorious monsters in history, Adolf Hitler, was elected and adored by the German people. During the same time period, another murderering fascist, Benito Mussolini, was also admired in his own country. I guess our populace has the same attitude to what Mussolini said "'It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep". The American sheeple have spoken, our own fascist leader was invited to stay in power by mostly white women who want to sleep with him [sorry girls but he prefers guys]. Our Senate is corrupt beyond belief and the House is a littered with weak kneed fools. Even Europe, except for Germany, is crashing and burning with no hope in sight. Socialism doesn't work! Nation Building is a failure too. It always leads to absolute economic failure no matter who trys it. The only reason Europe has been able to live so vicariously since World War II is because we Americans have protected them with our hard earned capitalist money and troops. Our troops aren't heroes anymore, they're cannon fodder for the politicians and whatever political goal they have. Now that financial rug has been pulled out from under Europe's feet. Sorry, we're broke folks!

And the most surprising thing of all is how can the American Jews vote for this obvious type of Anti-Christ who obviously hates them more than us Americans?! They do love to committ jew-icide on mass scales. Thanks to them, the nation of Israel is even more so between a rock and a hard place with all the islamic sand nygga's wanting them dead. They'll receive no assistance from America now with turdboy at the helm. Face it: for us, the Republic is dead, long live the Republic, or at least it's in last throes.

I'm wore out. Done. Disgusted. Finished. Fineto. I can't watch the news anymore. I feel overwhelmed with grief. Numb. Just like my best friend in the whole wide world died. I've quit caring. Maybe the numbness will wear off. I don't know. But apparently since the world is anxious to hurry along it's merry way straight to hell and I can't help them, why should I bother? That road sure is a slippery slope. And it must be lined with "free" cell phones and healthcare, drugs, murdered babies, and regulations. But, you know that money will soon run out since we're already borrowing from the Chinese and printing worthless paper money. What then?

There, that's my thoughts today. I'm setting things on cruise control so I can watch the fireworks from the safety of my own porch ...

Happy Thanksgiving

Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High. Psalm 50:14 (Amplified Bible)

O give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known His doings among the peoples! 1 Chronicles 16: 8 (Amplified Bible)

Dover Cards
Let there be no filthiness (obscenity, indecency) nor foolish and sinful (silly and corrupt) talk, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting or becoming; but instead voice your thankfulness [to God]. Ephesians 5: 4 (Amplified Bible)

It would take me a lifetime and an eternity to thank God for all His blessings. One of the most precious things is your friendship. Thank you for your prayers, for offering words of encouragement when I've needed them most and for your Patriotism. Y'all are definately at the top of my prayer list of THANKS!

My Pilgrim's Day in Titusville, Florida, 1962.

Here's wishing you and your family a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

More Obamacare Victims Bite The Dust

The photo was taken at mid-day! Yuck. My goodness what a gloomy week this has been! I know it's Fall and all, but when that cold front rolled in the sun just disappeared. It's been four days now since we've seen it's smiling face. I do enjoy seasonal weather but wish I could see a blue sky for a bit.

And to add to the gloom, I learn that Hostess is going out of business because of Obamacare. Also Denny's is cutting staff and adding a 5% surcharge for the customers to pay for the "free" healthcare. And on and on and on ... The Atlas Shrugs have begun. Think the Obama zombies will notice? Probably not. Not until they run out of power for their iPods or whatever and have to actually pay attention.

The good news just keeps coming, doesn't it.

We're hiding inside, drinking hot tea and eating pumpkin pie. Very soothing. Right now we're watching the film Brazil (1985). It's almost prophetic in what the future looks like but I don't recommend it for gloomy days.

It's A Doggone Shame

... that dogs age so much faster than us.

I love dogs! It doesn't matter what the color, shape or breed but I especially like Miniature Schnauzers. Dogs love us so unconditionally. To them we are "as gods". Cats, eh, well, as they say, cats only view us as staff. *lol*

We have two dogs, a 10 year old boxer Lucy and Maxie. Isn't she cute?

Maxie in 2008 after a professional groom. See how nice and clear her eyes where?

Now the poor kid can only see dimmly, her hearing is almost completely gone, she has to take medicine to keep from peeing by accident and many of her teeth are chipped from age. Plus she has had a few close calls with death: kidney stones, hit by a truck, etc. but our wonderful Vet, Dr. Flanders, has always been there for her.

She just turned 14 years old a few days ago. That's pretty doggone ancient for a canine. Maxie has been a part of our household since she was only 3 months old. Miniature Schnauzers change color as they age. Maxie started out with pink skin and brown fur, migrated to a shimmering silver, and is now settling down to a dark gray with age spots. Now my little girl Maxie is old. She's been my almost constant companion for many years.

Well, it's 4 o'clock. Time for their daily "cookies and pills". These two never let me forget.

Here's A Quarter, Call Someone Who Cares

Having been born and raised in the Southeast, I've always known that there is a stark difference between those from "up Nawth" and folks raised here. Gosh, I was 12 years old before I knew that Damn Yankee was two words! In the Old South, we where raised to have manners. On today's news I learn that the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy has brought yet another bad side of Yankees. Now, there is a class action lawsuit against the Long Island Power Authority for not suppling power fast enough!

Isn't that INSANE!? That's like suing someone for ... I don't know ... the sun not shining!

One reason it's taking so long is much of the humanitarian aid was DENIED BY THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT AND UNIONS. The No Right To Work States are so bound up in their anti-capitalism regulations that almost nothing gets accomplished.

This is yet another glaring difference between "us" and "them": whenever we have a power outage, we're the ones making sandwiches or offering cold drinks for the wonderful men putting our power back on-line.

You couldn't pay me enough money to live up there with that bunch of whiney cry baby godless atheist savages.

My husband very rightly always says, we are not a United States anymore. All the southern and Mid-western States should secede from the Union and we can just become two seperate countries.

Works for me.

I Am Confused

Anyone else having trouble with, and are confused by, the "new not so improved" blogger? I SURE AM! As anyone who visits my blog lately (does anyone still visit??) has noticed, the right hand side of my blog now seems to reside at the bottom!! And I haven't changed anything except their templates.

Or is this problem just my computer? Maybe I should clean out my cookies or something? Which reminds me, there are some cookies in the cabinet ... opps, better not go there! [lol]

Anyway, I don't like this new blogger format.

I did sign up with WordPress "just in case" but I have found using their format even more confusing.

I'm also very confused by the election outcome, and I'm tired of thinking about it. It's amazing how destructive greedy stupid people are en masse.

Looks like my gut feeling was right: THE AMERICAN REPUBLIC IS OFFICIALLY DEAD. Most people want free stuff more than care where it comes from, or who has to pay for it. More people would rather be told what to think, than think for themselves. More people care more about the cult of personality than the rule of law.

Face it, we're screwed. America has passed the point of no return. The Constitution is dead. Sorry, Lord--we had our chance and we pissed it away. I humbly beg of You that we may learn from this failure and get it right the next time, whenever -- or if ever--that may be.

Prepare, pray and lock and load, y'all.

Aw, well, I'll worry about the blog layout and other things after the surgery. Oh, which reminds me, the Thoracic outlet syndrome surgery has been planned for November 27th at the local hospital. The doctor has to actually remove one of my ribs in order for the neck artery to become unblocked.

I think I'll spend my timing worrying about that instead. For now, anyway.

You'd Think After Four Years I Would Be Ready

You'd think after four years of sharing the truth about Obama and his lies, I'd have a really bang up blog post ready. Well, I don't. I feel almost frozen with anticipation about the results. Truly, in my heart of hearts, I "feel" that this will be a landslide win for Romney/Ryan, which, I pray with all my might, is a good thing. Looking at the history of Mittens, I don't know if he's a good thing or not. But for sure almost anyone has to be an improvement over the last four years of this hell-bent for destruction Obamanation. The more I listen to Obama, the more I see that his father is the Father Of All Lies. Obama, et. el. truly hates America. He and his unholy followers especially hate the Holy Bible and our Constitution.

But back to the election results, I'm as nervous as a cat with nine tails in a room full of rocking chairs!

I pray that all those who love our country has, or will, vote by tomorrow. Because "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." [Edmund Burke] Please don't be one of the nothing crowd. It's important to vote!

So, unless something promising comes up, meet you Wednesday evening folks. Maybe by then there will be good news that Obama, his nauseating sycophants and his unconstitutional 'laws' will be sent packing back to the pits of hell from which he crawled up from. Then maybe our Country can get back to the business of being in business.

Funny Friday ~ Golf

A woman was playing golf when she took a big swing and fell.

The party waiting behind her was a group from the White House that included President Obama and Vice President Biden.

Obama quickly stepped forward and helped her to her feet. She thanked him and started to leave, when he said, "I'm President Obama and I hope you'll vote for me this November."

She laughed and quickly replied, "I fell on my butt, not on my head!"

Sticking My Neck Out (Again)

Herman For some time now I've been suffering from mysterious right shoulder and neck pain. I'm also suffering from unexplained temporary vision loss. Needless to say, I've been to doctor after doctor seeking treatment.

Some doctors have recommended therapy [Ehhhh, wrong answer! Just made it worse!]. Others recommended mind bending drugs [DEFINITELY a wrong answer!]. One even said, "Well, you have a trigger muscle. Learn to live with it."

Today, I gave yet one more doctor a try, a vascular surgeon. Well, let me back up, I gave one more Neurologist a try one month ago. After multiple tests, lots of hmmmm's and ah haw's, he suggested that I might have Subclavian Steal Syndrome.

"Oh Boy!" I thought, "Someone who takes me seriously and has a legitimate suggestion." He had even called his vascular surgeon friend and over the phone they came up with this diagnosis.

I was absolutely giddy with joy! FINALLY, someone had a diagnosis for my pain.

Today, after more on-hands, visual tests with the vascular surgeon, he shot my balloon right out of the air. Now it seems I may have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.

OK.

Back to square one. [very heavy sigh] Now I need to have yet more tests to be performed at a local hospital. More precious time spent running back and to. Spending more money we should be saving during this economic Depression. And I still hurt. This seems to be dragging on and on and on and on. I have wept all afternoon. I felt so discouraged and abandoned.

Then, I happened upon this in our local paper:

Billy Graham - My Answer

Q: I have terrible pain all the time from a bad back, and the doctors can’t seem to do anything about it (except to prescribe strong drugs, which I don’t want to get hooked on). What good is God to me, if He won’t relieve my pain? Is it wrong for me to ask Him to take it away? — J. McS.

A: No, it isn’t wrong for you to ask God to bring healing to your body and take away your pain. Chronic pain is a terrible burden, and the Bible encourages us to bring all our burdens to God in prayer. But if your pain stays with you, I urge you not to get angry with God or turn away from Him in bitterness or disappointment.

Instead, I pray that your pain will cause you to turn toward God and draw closer to Him, so you can discover His strength and presence. In spite of your present feelings about Him, God has not abandoned you; He loves you and wants to encourage you. The Bible’s promise is true: “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth” (Psalm 145:18).

Think of it this way. In your letter, you mentioned that you are married, and although your wife can’t take away your pain, her presence has been a source of great comfort and encouragement to you. In a similar way, knowing that God cares for you and is constantly with you will bring you great comfort and encouragement.

Bring your burdens — including your pain — to Jesus, and ask Him to encourage you and help you keep your eyes on eternity.

The Bible says, “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall” (Psalm 55:22).
I sure needed to hear that today! Plus, I made mental notes of all my blessings instead of focusing in on the failures and the seemingly endless medical adventures I've been on these past years. I have a lot to be thankful for. Now I feel better. God sure works in mysterious ways, doesn't he?! :)

I hope this encourages others to not give up too. Remember, you are LOVED!

Besides, it reminds me of that old saying, "Behold the turtle. He makes progress only when he sticks his neck out."

I just hope I don't get it chopped off.

[tee hee]
