A Joke And A Prayer Request

Tomorrow, the Iowa Caucasus begins casting votes, or they start, anyway. Thus, the political joke: Trump VS Trump. I know I don't have to ask for prayers concerning this serious event. There's so much riding on these elections. Many of our God given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness may be lost forever if the wrong people keep getting elected. May the LORD Jesus guide and protect us.

And a prayer request. I've injured my right hip again and the pain is pretty intense. I can barely walk, and riding is definitely a no-no. Prayers for relief will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

I hope everyone has a very happy, safe, blessed week.

The Right Stuff: A Call To 40 Days Of Prayer

40 Days Of Prayer

Calling all believers in Jesus Christ! Someone has organized a "40 Days Of Prayer" for our nation. Please, everyone, pray for our Nation, that unbelievers will hear the Word rightly divided and give their hearts to Jesus Christ to be saved from the wrath to come, and equally important about the upcoming election. Pray quietly in our hearts all day, if necessary. God loves to hear from us. Prayers doesn't have to be "formal" or in a special place or use special words. The Holy Spirit makes intersection for us anyway.

I really appreciate the good folks behind the organizing of the 40 Days Of Prayer. I know most who believe pray anyway. And as we all know, HE always answers prayer. Perhaps more will be convicted in their hearts to do the right thing so that we can turn our Nation back from the brink of destruction.

The well-being of our country depends on good people like you.

Oh, also, if you're feeling discouraged about the elections, I suggest reading this very well done post by Legal Insurrection here.

Thank you!

60th Annual National Day Of Prayer

Tomorrow, May 5th, is the 60th Annual National Day of Prayer.

One can search for a place to meet with other like-minded believers here. With all our very important requests and gracious "thank you's" to our Lord, please remember to pray for our nation and it's leaders. We have truly immoral, evil leadership. But as I think on this, I realize that our leaders are merely a reflection of our own immorality. Our nation is becoming like the fig tree that Jesus cursed and it withered. Perhaps our Lord Jesus will have mercy on us if we are of one mind and with one voice, have contrition and ask for forgiveness and His help.

Have a blessed day everyone.

"I will say to the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust." Psalm 91:2

Nutjob Holds Discovery Channel Hostage

URGENT! Prayers needed for the nutjob and the hostages being held with a bomb by the nutjob [sorry, don't know his name yet] at the Discovery Channel TV station.

The man holding hostages at Discovery HD has posted his list of demands. He is an anti-capitalist Malthusian who wants the Discovery Channel to stop any programming that promotes capitalism, human birth, progress, or the ponzi economy. (via Ben Smith)

The hostage taker also claims to be an atheist. I pray he doesn't die in his sins! It's so unnecessary. He's really sick and needs Christ. Perhaps there can be a peaceful solution to this.

Y'all please pray for all these folks? Thanks. :)

Prayer Warriors Please Apply Within (Update)

Byron Scott

A few moments ago, I received a Facebook notice from a fellow church member that our Pastor has either had a heart attack or his pacemaker defibrillator has malfunctioned.

He and his lovely wife, Tricia, are in Atlanta for a conference when this happened. They are over 4 hours from home.

My humble request is, would y'all please whisper a little prayer of healing and comfort right now for them both? We've only known Byron since last December but have learned to really like him. They've both come to mean a lot to me.

May it please our merciful God and Father to heal Byron and bring them both safely home.

Thanks y'all. :o)

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. (Philippians 4:23)

***UPDATE: 31 May 2009 9:30 AM - From Pastor Scott "I want to thank you for the many prayers today. My heart got badly out of rhythm and my defibrillator slapped me. I spent 5 hours in Northside Hospital today but am now out. I am doing fine but will have to slow down on some of my activities. ***

Sounds like he is much improved! We'll be glad when he can come home and rest. Thanks y'all for your prayers and concerns.
