Stop Pushing Me: A Statement About My Faith

In reference to the ongoing conversation about homosexuality I wish to make an open comment.

In light of the way things seem to be going it seems to me that lines have been drawn and forces arrayed on both sides. There’s a lot of pushing and shoving going on from the government. They want an anointed sainthood for the homosexuals and those of us of faith want to be left alone. This is nothing new under the sun. I’m an amateur historian and know that events like this have happened all down the centuries and, like I always say, history does repeat itself. Right now things aren’t too bad but I think  the time to choose may well be upon us sooner rather than later. It's important to me to clearly state my position and openly declare which side I am on and who I am. It comforts me that so many have also stated in no uncertain terms what they believe and who their alliance is with. I can do no less.

I am an unabashed and unapologetic Bible believing, fundamentalist Christian. That means that I personally have accepted and embraced Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I’m counting on Him for my eternal salvation. That also means that I know that the Holy Bible is the literal Word of God. In that light I also know homosexuality is a sin (just one of a multitude, but still a sin and worthy of death). Not a crime but a sin. I only care about this as it relates to everyone's immortal soul. It horrifies me to think some will be spending eternity in Hell because they haven’t accepted Christ. All of us as Christians have the duty to tell folks that unforgiven sin is a one way ticket away from the Grace of God and into eternal damnation. We are His Ambassadors in a foreign land. My statement today is that everyone can have a relationship with God, no matter what the sin. What that relationship is depends on each of us. I'm not in the eternal judgment business, that's God's purview, but with the help of His Holy Word, I can make my own judgments on what constitutes sin, what the result will be and what I need to do personally to be right with The Lord. I'm a sinner, no less than anyone else. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God …” [Romans 3:23] As one who professes Jesus Christ, that puts me in the position of witnessing to others but also looking after my own house. How you manage yours is your business but I will speak out. I will not be silenced no matter the cost. That makes me loving, not full of hate and certainly, not intolerant. If you where sitting on train tracks with your back to an approaching train, shouldn’t I warn you to get off the tracks!? Of course I would. This is no different.

I also strongly believe in the rule of law and the fact that all people are created equal with inherent free will. That means they are free to choose the life they wish to lead and so long as that doesn't infringe on the inherent personal rights of others, it‘s none of my business. I'm supposed to love all and I strive to do just that in my own quiet way. I do not hate anyone based on their race, culture, life choices or sexuality. Every human being is my brother or sister. If you're life choice is destructive, it‘s only hurting you, not me. It doesn't effect our relationship, only yours with a loving God. It has nothing to do with me. If you've heard The Word then go and live your life as you deem fit. I have taken the same stance on homosexuals pretending that they can be married to each other. They want to play house without any of the consequences. Doesn’t work that way. We all pay for our life choices. However, it seems to me that it is in the best interest of a country to encourage the idea of Going Forth and Multiplying under the protection of the marriage contract. It protects women and it protects the children that are sure to follow. I’ve always felt that the Constitution is a divinely inspired document. The reason it's silent on the specifics of marriage is because back then, people walked closer to God and this wasn‘t an issue. I do suggest that let's get government out of marriage altogether and let churches go back to deciding who they'll marry. For everyone else it should remain a civil license. A contract is a contract. Perfect equality while respecting religious freedoms.

But. There's a limit to all this tolerance and it's reached under duress and state coercion.

This then is the position I and many others of my faith find ourselves in. I think by our very silence we encourage further persecution of Christianity. As a Christian it is my sacred duty to teach The Word and share the love of Jesus Christ to anyone who desires to hear and that's the key phrase. Desires. Teaching others about the His love has a lot of different connotations. I'm a layman so I'm generally limited to a soft word, a prayer or an answered question. But I'm beholden to my God not to be silent. That is my Faith in action.

What I strongly object to is the idea that I must celebrate any lifestyle at odds with my religious beliefs. Why isn't it enough that we can live together in peace and harmony without my having to deny my profound and deeply personal relationship with my Creator and literally abandon Him? Stop pushing me to accept your sin as being “OK“ or an “alternate lifestyle“. It ain‘t happenin‘. I won't do that no matter the cost. Leave me alone and I'll return the gesture. Defend my freedoms and I'll do the same for yours. But stop pushing me. If you back me into a corner where the choices are between belief and non belief, between God or political correctness, there's going to be a fight because I'll choose God every time and I won't go down timidly. It has nothing to do with tolerance or bigotry or phobia or any of the other made up buzzwords being tossed out by a culture increasingly hostile to God. It has to do with my own personal deeply held faith and the idea that I am either free to live my life as I deem fit or we as a people are a lot less free than we imagine. Thought Crime persecution isn't on my side, it's on the side of the rabidly atheist, humanist, politically and power driven Left.

I desire no authority over anyone's life and it infuriates me that others want power over mine. God is my ultimate authority and I desire no more than to be free to try and live as I believe he wants me to. In my world Christians are the Paladins, riding to the rescue and defending freedom and the forces of good and decency. Yes, we do fall and fail with maddening regularity but that doesn't take away from the core. The basic idea behind true Christian Faith. Love. Love for God and Love for each other. If you're like me, a sinner (and in my belief you are, we all are), then I love you. If you hate me I love you. If you persecute me I will still love you and I will continue to do so even if you force me to defend myself, my freedoms and my faith. And understand, defense of self and faith is no sin. Defense of faith does not mean forced conversion to Christianity but it does mean active and forceful resistance to forced conversion to a belief system incompatible with my faith by those who view Christianity as something to be eradicated.

We were once a nation founded on the basic idea of live and let live. Cuique Sum," to each his own". We are seemingly no longer that country. I still see signs of it, in the words of some who are not of my faith, but I fear they are now the exception and not the rule. So let me state it for myself. My words and not those of any other. My understanding and not those of learned scholars. My misunderstandings, failures and weaknesses. My human frailties. My Faith.

We are all created equal in the sight of God. We all have the exact same chances, choices and inherent rights. We are all free to choose the life we want within the strictures of civil law. No one should be free to exercise undue and unfair influence on that basic equality. We should be free to practice religion, or the absence of same, as we deem right and fit without fear of repercussions or silencing. No one is created better or worse than anyone else. How we end up depends on the choices we make on this Earth. I love everyone to the extent that I am capable and within the bounds of my life experiences and how they have shaped me. I am fragile, fallible and imminently human. I am prone to mistakes and errors of both discernment and judgment. I am a terrible sinner who needs God's Grace and Forgiveness each and every day of my life. I am neither judge nor jury and have no desire to be either. I have enough problems ordering my own life to meddle about in others. Please stop pushing me.

And that's sort of my point in all this. Faith, or the lack of, is a deeply personal thing. It's in our hearts and the deepest and darkest parts of our minds and souls. It is an intimate matter between each of us and our Creator and no one else. In the end it's all that really matters in this life and to be so arrogant as to believe that anyone has the right to dictate what that relationship is, or even whether it will be allowed to exist at all, is the ultimate tyranny. Coercion is evil. Period dot end. My answer is an unqualified No.

I keep getting told that my faith makes me a hater, a phobic and a criminal moron. So be it. If that's what you believe then you are free to do so. You are free to insult, hate, and preach against me and my faith. But understand that I, and a lot of others just like me, have more than a bit of the Old Testament in us and we absolutely will not lay down and die just because we're inconvenient to your view of the World as you wish it to be. I am most definitely an acolyte of the Church Triumphant. Anyone who has ever read my blog or writings knows that I am hardly a fire and brimstone Christian. I consider myself a fairly quiet person on issues of faith preferring to let others seek and find as they will. Sometimes I worry that I'm too silent but my Libertarian side requires that of me just as my Faithful side requires obedience. I am not tolerant, I am an American who holds the idea that true freedom is given by God Himself and is the natural state of Man. Your relationship with God is your own business. I won't pretend otherwise. But so is mine. Please refrain from telling me otherwise.

I've come to the point where I have stopped begging and started telling.

Stop pushing me into that corner.

Dr. Strangetimes OR How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bum

CAUTION: RANT BELOW

The Chinese curse states: "May you live in interesting times." Lordy, I wish these weren't interesting times! I'd give a lot to go back to living in the America that I love again. Maybe what I need is a Tardis so I can go back in time to, say 1800 or so, before socialism crept into our country like a viper about 1850. It really gained speed after the War of Northern Aggression and on into the early 1900's.

But, I digress.

History repeats itself to those who won't learn it. One of the most notorious monsters in history, Adolf Hitler, was elected and adored by the German people. During the same time period, another murderering fascist, Benito Mussolini, was also admired in his own country. I guess our populace has the same attitude to what Mussolini said "'It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep". The American sheeple have spoken, our own fascist leader was invited to stay in power by mostly white women who want to sleep with him [sorry girls but he prefers guys]. Our Senate is corrupt beyond belief and the House is a littered with weak kneed fools. Even Europe, except for Germany, is crashing and burning with no hope in sight. Socialism doesn't work! Nation Building is a failure too. It always leads to absolute economic failure no matter who trys it. The only reason Europe has been able to live so vicariously since World War II is because we Americans have protected them with our hard earned capitalist money and troops. Our troops aren't heroes anymore, they're cannon fodder for the politicians and whatever political goal they have. Now that financial rug has been pulled out from under Europe's feet. Sorry, we're broke folks!

And the most surprising thing of all is how can the American Jews vote for this obvious type of Anti-Christ who obviously hates them more than us Americans?! They do love to committ jew-icide on mass scales. Thanks to them, the nation of Israel is even more so between a rock and a hard place with all the islamic sand nygga's wanting them dead. They'll receive no assistance from America now with turdboy at the helm. Face it: for us, the Republic is dead, long live the Republic, or at least it's in last throes.

I'm wore out. Done. Disgusted. Finished. Fineto. I can't watch the news anymore. I feel overwhelmed with grief. Numb. Just like my best friend in the whole wide world died. I've quit caring. Maybe the numbness will wear off. I don't know. But apparently since the world is anxious to hurry along it's merry way straight to hell and I can't help them, why should I bother? That road sure is a slippery slope. And it must be lined with "free" cell phones and healthcare, drugs, murdered babies, and regulations. But, you know that money will soon run out since we're already borrowing from the Chinese and printing worthless paper money. What then?

There, that's my thoughts today. I'm setting things on cruise control so I can watch the fireworks from the safety of my own porch ...

10 Words I Don’t Want To Hear Anymore

10 Words I Don’t Want To Hear Anymore
by Sparky

There are some misused, or made up words and phrases that are getting on my very last nerve. Below are ten of them:

1. Bad Ass ~ When tattoos where scarce and one whispered the name Hell’s Angels under ones breath for fear of being heard, this phrase used to hold some meaning. But now due to overuse it’s lost all it‘s thrill. I also see this phrase a lot when perusing Craigslist.com looking for another motorcycle. It’s not gonna make me buy your product! Grow up, would ya?!

2. Climate Change ~ The weather is always changing. Stop being politically correct about something that’s perfectly normal.

3. Crisis ~ A Zombie attack would be a crisis, otherwise, very few happenings are. Using this word out of context diminishes true crisis’s if or when they occur.

4. Epidemic ~ Fox News had some overpaid do-gooder Holier Than Thou guest spouting that one again this morning. He said that ‘1/3 Americans are obese and that it’s an “epidemic” …’. Excuse me?! That’s not an epidemic. A virus killing thousands or turning them into Zombie’s would be an epidemic. Besides, this just means that 2/3 of Americans are undernourished. My opinion is to put them on a milk shake diet and they‘ll be healthy.

5. Fetus ~ This modern word robs children of their humanity so women won’t feel guilty committing murder.

6. Frickin’ ~ Ok, I know this word is used to replace another unnamed filthy word. We all know what it is. It’s juvenile. I’m really, really tired of hearing “frickin’” this and “frickin’” that! English is the most beautiful, versatile language in the world. If one must be melodramatic about every event in your otherwise boring lives, please try a more appropriate adjective? Thanks so much.

7. Like ~ Using “like” out of context is annoying in the extreme. A good slap on the head by their parents should put a stop to that.

8. Miss Spoke ~ Plain and simple, this new phrase is a cover up used by politicians (think Clinton) for the old familiar word LIE. You don’t “misspeak”, you lie. It’s more liberal double-speak.

9. Near Miss ~ This one never has made any sense to me. When two airplanes fly past one another, they either MISS or HIT each other. There’s no such thing as a “near” miss.

10. Viral ~ There has to be a better word than this. Perhaps “popular“? Viral sounds like an epidemic to me.

Well, I feel better.

That’s my list. What’s yours?

Oh Crap

Holy Crap! Can you believe what O'Blamo said the other day? The Narcissist And Cheat pretty much said that our Lord Jesus would tax us at the point of a gun to give to others [paraphrased but that's what he was essentially saying]?! If any of us do not pay our taxes, the Feds can threaten, jail, steal all our worldly goods, and kill everything you own all "legally". Just try not paying your taxes folks and see if I'm not right. When O'Bummer quoted our Lord from the Holy Bible I was completely, totally, and forevermore outraged. I'm sure any other Bible believing Christian was as well. I understand that even those that do not even profess Christ are outraged. Here's a good commentary on this subject: link . And be sure to take the time to read the comments below. They are priceless.

I'm staying home today, as I've done since after New Years. Yeah, yeah it's Sunday, some people's "holy day" but it's not mine. I believe that every day the Lord gives me is "holy". I'm quitting our local church that we've been attending for four Christmas'. Long story short, I think this church is quite literally dieing since our old members are dieing off and there is no one to replace them. "The Dragons" (the ones that decided to ignore & "defriend" Hubby and I on Facebook awhile back) control every aspect of the Church, there is very little community outreach and the Pastor, whom I used to admire, and I had 'words' over this subject recently on Facebook. So boring. I do not like Facebook now and have quitted it forever. Facebook makes it too hard for people to see the smile on my face or the gentle way I try to say things. It's too easy to be rude. I guess I've crapped in my mess kit. Oh well. I noticed the world is still spinning today and Jesus still loves me. So I'm not perfect like the churchy le femmes' think they are. I'm not the choir director, I don't print the weekly bulletins, I don't decorate the building, I don't donate the most ... yadda, yadda, yadda. What did we have 'words' over? Well the Pastor thinks that someone is "good" because they do all these things but still they can still support a communist, tyrannical, narcissistic baby killer for public office. Yeah, that's the 'gist of what it was about. I told him that was stupid. With specious thinking like that, I could do all those church things and be a serial killer but they would still defend me?! THAT'S IDIOTIC!! Well, whatever, on I go. I will still witness for Christ in my own small "non-good" way. I still love the Lord God but most importantly He loves me. I'm not perfect and don't pretend to be. May He use me with all my faults to help others come to Him. I will still have my fellowship with my Lord by praying and reading the Bible and any other publication that "rightly divides the Word of truth".

In Your Face(book)

It seems we've switched on something we can't switch off. The current of information is seemingly endless and sometimes overwhelming. I do enjoy some of the features of Social Networking but I think it's made some who share lazy with their manners. Proper grammar, spelling and sentence structure are nearly dead ... not that I've ever been any shining example there. Freedoms are being won and lost without firing a bullet. Everyone knows where we work, what we had to eat, who we sleep with, what we believe in. And we share it all willingly. The media bombards us with multichannel assaults on our time and attention, and the more it continues, the more desensitized to our Western Culture we become.

We have become gods in our own minds.

I had a friend post this recently:
TO ALL MY FELLOW NUTS - I just realized ... We sit and stare at a screen. We talk to ourselves. We have imaginary friends and farms, cities and fake animals. We cook imaginary food in imaginary bakeries. We poke people and think its okay. We even write on walls. Think about it ... Facebook is a mental hospital and we are all patients ...

That description certainly fits all Social Networking to a “t“! When I first signed up, it was amusing. Posting about our daily activities, playing the silly games [I enjoy Zombie Lane], commenting on or “like“-ing other‘s posts, keeping up with what new unconstitutional law the politicians where contemplating on passing. Then, Facebook became a burden. My husband really hated it! So Hubby and I notified all there and left. It was such a relaxing week. [giggle] Many friends contacted us, "Are you Ok?" "Anything wrong?" They thought we had lost our marbles, I guess. Well, I finally relented and reactivated my account. Hubby never did return. Smart man! I had become tired of the harshness of the network but I think it‘s because I wasn‘t being discerning with those desiring to be “friends“. I’m much more careful now.

In case you haven’t heard, "Defriending" and blocking someone is the new cruelty. I do try not to do that. But some “friends” have to be blocked because having a daily view into the innermost workings of their minds is undesirable, to be polite. Even though we may disagree on politics, religion or anything else, I do try to be nice about it but with some that's not always possible. I’ve had some try to verbally eviscerate me. If we had been in the room when they made their nasty remarks I might have given them a knuckle sandwich. Yeah, they got that nasty. But I think it’s the anonymity of the medium that allows such rudeness.

But that aside, Social Networking can be a wonderful opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ. In a world otherwise being made numb by digital noise, how can we as Christians make the word of God relevant to the lost world again so that all may be saved? Heed my voice Americans: without asking God into our politics or our schools or our lives, our lovely Western Culture will be completely lost. And to be blunt, white men must start voting and being more politically active! Call it 'racist' all one wants, it is what it is. Look at our current government. If we hold a mirror up to the faces of the evil that lurks there in the White House, we can only see ourselves. They are only a reflection of what happens when belief in God is removed from a society.

Like I always say, people get the government they deserve.

Enough of the innermost workings of my mind. Now I really must go kill more Zombie's.

We Are Barbarians In Gilded Cages

It has been my belief for many years now that this descent of women in the eyes of the world is also the descent of all mankind. Women always have been, and always will be, civilization itself. This is not meant as a slight to men. Y’all have your own important chores to perform. But it's up to us ladies to teach others what is acceptable, what isn't, and to care and nurture children. Our wonderful Western European culture seems to be reverting back to it’s old barbarian ways.

Recently, I read an article by Mr. Jim Mahoney in the American Thinker. He starts his article [The Descent of Woman] with these thoughts:
For over fifteen centuries in the world touched by Western civilization, Christ's mother embodied the feminine ideal. During this time, the Virgin Mary's dignity extended to all women.

She inspired the arts and literature. Most importantly, she inspired mothers who in turn inspired their children to honor and respect femininity. The age of chivalry was a product of the veneration of women who modeled themselves on the Mother of God.

Makes ya think doesn't it? Women used to enjoy a spot on a higher plane than what we’ve settled for these days. He goes on ...
Such women behaved and dressed modestly. Not only did their modesty conceal their physical charm, it also masked whatever blemishes nature may have imparted. Most of all, free of physical distraction men attuned to the spirit appreciated the vastly more important and enduring qualities of their women. They understood true beauty: the beauty of the soul.

Beauty of the soul. Think about that pearl of wisdom for a minute. Do we see any respectful representations of womanhood these days on the TV or in a film? Not very often. And ladies, lets admit it, do we deserve to be respected? Look at the Movie Stars or other prominent pig women [what I call them] we presume to admire in the media: Cameron Diaz, Lady GaGa, Madonna, any female “star” that comes to mind. It's slim pickens for proper young ladies to emulate out there!
If there were an enemy bent on destroying all humanity, he would find no better place to start than by destroying femininity. Despite social pressures to the contrary, women will probably always form the next generation. "Liberating" young girls from a model of purity and docility to God and supplanting it with a burden of guilt, shame, and rage would breed mothers who would inevitably infuse their children with resentments and hostilities thereby creating a self-propagating blight sure to infect future generations.

I'm one of the millions of women that are a victim of the “liberating” Feminist Movement and the Zero Population Birth garbage that was spouted with great vigor in the 1960s and 70s. All these things are a worse teaching than the New Math [Remember that one? Thought I never would learn how to multiply!]. Mind you, I enjoy voting and owning / inheriting property! Those rights should not have had to be fought for. Our female ancestors should have demanded that respect hundreds of years ago.

I thought to achieve and be "successful" I had to be more like a man in the business world. I neglected having a family because of it. At least I never murdered an unborn child, so, that’s not weighing on my conscience. But, it's still a barren, empty existence to have had a "wonderful" career but no children. Your career won't call you up on birthdays or holidays, nor care if you've eaten in three days or if the heater is still working on cold nights. It's an empty feeling indeed. It's much more important to be a good mother and wife. The rewards of being a loving parent outweigh any amount of money a person can make. Money is only created by governments so they can tax us. Money is fleeting. But real love ... love is everlasting. Love is forever.

Although late in life, in my own small way, I’m trying to better myself. Maybe in this one humble change, I can make a difference in our society. It's a rough road but I'm an eager student. I am: reading the classics [it’s valuable for learning manners, proper English, etc.], reading the Holy Bible more [for a better moral compass, trusting in Christ is essential!], reading history books [to preserve our culture], turning off the TV or only watching dignified shows. I’m trying to speak more respectfully to and about others, not be slanderous or vulgar. It’s OK to disagree and speak the truth but there’s no need to be rude. I try refraining from wearing clothing in public one couldn't wear to church [honest to goodness I wish printed T-shirts would go out of fashion] and so on. Of course, it’s impossible to dress nice on my motorcycle but at least I can try to look better.

If we could all teach the younger generation these values, our culture will benefit from it. It may take a whole generation, or it may take 20 generations, I don’t know, but things would get better again. Remember ladies our strength is in our feminity.

And those are My Thoughts Exactly.

Walter E. Williams "Our Problem Is Immorality"

As our country muddles its way into another inescapable quagmire under the Obama Administration, I am left to ponder what will become of the generations behind us. Those of us who are older will probably be long gone before all the real crap hits the fan. Our generation has become selfish and immoral, "waxing fat" with laziness.

Our treasury is robbing from Paul to pay Peter (and Paul is broke too!).

Our troops are languishing in Afghanistan with no clear direction and our guys are putting themselves at risk needlessly. Obama: Please bring them home since you obviously have no clue what you're doing!

I've come to the conclusion that one of the worst things ever created was health insurance. I have learned that since it's inception in the 1920s it was encouraged for 'workers' to be paid for by employers by .... wait for it ... TRADE UNIONS! link **Ding, ding, ding, ding** [waving red flag] Yep, it's been wrong from the get-go. Company's have been paying for most all health insurance. But as you and I know, NOTHING is paid by corporations. Taxpayers and consumers pay for everything. NOTHING IS FREE. ObamaCare is NOT FREE. It will crash and burn our economy forever and ever, amen.

I found a very good article about this very subject by Walter E. Williams, PhD. Mr. Williams is a patriot and a true American. He put my opinions down on paper in such a profound way. He expressed My Thoughts Exactly in a recent article:

Our problem is immorality
by Walter E. Williams
Link

Most of our nation’s great problems, including our economic problems, have as their root decaying moral values.

Whether we have the stomach to own up to it or not, we have become an immoral people left with little more than the pretense of morality.

You say, “That’s a pretty heavy charge, Williams. You’d better be prepared to back it up with evidence!” I’ll try with a few questions for you to answer.

Do you believe that it is moral and just for one person to be forcibly used to serve the purposes of another?

And, if that person does not peaceably submit to being so used, do you believe that there should be the initiation of some kind of force against him?

Neither question is complex and can be answered by either a yes or no.

For me the answer is no to both questions but I bet that your average college professor, politician or minister would not give a simple yes or no response. They would be evasive and probably say that it all depends.

In thinking about questions of morality, my initial premise is that I am my private property and you are your private property. That’s simple. What’s complex is what percentage of me belongs to someone else.

If we accept the idea of self-ownership, then certain acts are readily revealed as moral or immoral. Acts such as rape and murder are immoral because they violate one’s private property rights. Theft of the physical things that we own, such as cars, jewelry and money, also violates our ownership rights.

The reason why your college professor, politician or minister cannot give a simple yes or no answer to the question of whether one person should be used to serve the purposes of another is because they are sly enough to know that either answer would be troublesome for their agenda.

A yes answer would put them firmly in the position of supporting some of mankind’s most horrible injustices such as slavery. After all, what is slavery but the forcible use of one person to serve the purposes of another?

A no answer would put them on the spot as well because that would mean they would have to come out against taking the earnings of one American to give to another in the forms of farm and business handouts, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps and thousands of similar programs that account for more than two-thirds of the federal budget.

There is neither moral justification nor constitutional authority for what amounts to legalized theft. This is not an argument against paying taxes. We all have a moral obligation to pay our share of the constitutionally mandated and enumerated functions of the federal government.

Unfortunately, there is no way out of our immoral quagmire. The reason is that now that the U.S. Congress has established the principle that one American has a right to live at the expense of another American, it no longer pays to be moral.

People who choose to be moral and refuse congressional handouts will find themselves losers. They’ll be paying higher and higher taxes to support increasing numbers of those paying lower and lower taxes.

As it stands now, close to 50 percent of income earners have no federal income tax liability and as such, what do they care about rising income taxes?

In other words, once legalized theft begins, it becomes too costly to remain moral and self-sufficient. You might as well join in the looting, including the current looting in the name of stimulating the economy.

I am all too afraid that a historian, a hundred years from now, will footnote America as a historical curiosity where people once enjoyed private property rights and limited government but it all returned to mankind’s normal state of affairs — arbitrary abuse and control by the powerful elite.

If you own a car, stay tuned for this important announcement

How many of you have seen this obnoxious commercial? I’ve never actually listened to it since I’m quick with the ‘mute’ button. Take note of that advertisers. It’s not being listened to in the Sparky Household.

But this commercial lead me to thinking about this:

You know how the government loves to tax our ’assets’? How dare they call my car, truck and motorcycles assets!!

We have bought tires, paid innumerable local taxes, road taxes, licenses, insurance, waxes, soaps, special washing tools, oil, filters, repairs, CD’s to play in these overpriced lumps of metal while moving rapidly at unsafe speeds, speeding tickets, taken driving lessons, bought a gazillon gallons of gasoline, paid yet more taxes, built another carport, key chains, extra keys … [gasping for breath]

The list goes on and on.

How dare they classify these money suckers on wheels as ‘assets’!

Also, I was reading that there will be no marriage between Volkswagen and Porsche. Forbes

They should move to Massachusetts. They’re not chosey and anything can get married there: animal, vegetable or mineral ... living or dead.

I wonder which one should wear the ring?

Also, there are so many car dealerships closing in America. Forbes

Everybody knows that unless they live on a desert island with their fingers in their ears and have no satellite TV.

It seems that this could not be a good thing but maybe, just maybe, there is a silver lining to all this?

Most people, when asked, do not like to deal with car salesmen.

Therefore, I would like to make a proposal. Pay attention here car manufacturers. You should get directly into the retail market by offering vehicles on-line so that potential car buyers can order from the manufacturer. There could also be major car lots of spankin’ new vehicles in large cities (Atlanta, Miami, etc.) where we could all go to either pick the vehicle of our dreams with a set price or have your special order brought to you by careful driving retirees for a small delivery fee. Or, on a flat bed truck if it makes one more comfortable, I’m easy.

Hmmmmmm? Now, just say “I do”.

I think it might work out well that way. It would certainly cut costs AND keep the manufacturers cranking out vehicles. It should save current jobs and create many real jobs, not made-up pointless government jobs.

My husband also suggested having authorized service centers that would specialize in that particular car or truck and take care of all warranty service. Keep the overhead low. They could be offered from any location that is convenient to the bulk of the customers.

So, car making guys, are you with me so far?

This is basic economics and good customer relations: offer what the customer wants and give good service, keep the overhead low and pass the savings on to the consumer. Everybody’s happy.

Use this economic downturn as an incentive to better yourselves not walk around with your hands out.

Capitalism works. Socialism doesn’t.

I’m just saying.

And that’s my two cents.

Now, let’s talk about houses. How dare the government call this thing an ‘asset’ …

My Day In Pictures

So ... I come in from outside and have a cold one ...

... I turn on my beloved Fox Business News ...
and they're freakin' out over a (real or imagined) flu pandemic ...

Trust Me
... that our oh so wise government claims is real ...

... but quite frankly, I don't see what the big deal is about Panda's!? Do you?

Hey, I ain't scared.
I think I can take 'em when he looks the other way ...

(BTW, I turned the news off. I'm watching Arny beat up some bad guy Terrorists in a movie. And not to diminish their suffering but only 3 people got this flu in New York City at last count ... and, let's see, there's 8 million living there now ... right? Nope, not concerned a bit.)

Obituary For Common Sense

It's 'funny' as I was going to post the Obituary For Common Sense anyway when I read this at FoxNews today. They'd have a cow with me as I always carry a 9mm in my pants pocket! Ewww, better lock down the schools and run for cover! Gosh. I hope this poor lady has a good defender and takes her kids out of the Public School. Money talks ...

Maine Mother Charged With Packing Pistol in Pants While Picking Children Up at School

"LEWISTON, Maine — Police say a Lewiston woman is facing charges after showing up at an elementary school with a handgun tucked into the waistband of her pants.

Police say 30-year-old Tylor Austin had a 9 mm pistol when she walked into the principal's office at Montello Elementary School to pick up her three children Friday morning. She is charged with possession of a firearm on school property.

Lt. Mark Cornelio said Austin didn't make any threats and later told police she was carrying the gun for self-defense after taking out a protection order arising from a bad relationship. The school went into lockdown before police arrived. Nobody was hurt."

Of course, no one was hurt ... sadly, what's below really fits in modern America.

NOTE: I didn't write the Obituary. I wish I knew who the Author was as I'd like to give them credit. It's pure genius! :o)

OBITUARY FOR COMMON SENSE

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers:

I Know My Rights

I Want It Now

Someone Else Is To Blame

I'm A Victim

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

The Stimulus Package In My Husband's Words

Hubby with his father
after boot camp in the Army National Reserves
Signal School, Fort Gordon, Georgia
August 1966

My darling husband wrote something the other day at one of the on-line motorcycle forums we belong to (MyGreatRides.Com). The subject of the phony stimulus package came up in one of their General Posts. I wanted to share this with y'all today:

---

If you closely examine where most of this 'stimulus' money is going, that by the way we are borrowing from foreign countries, it's easy to see that it's mostly payoff money for the votes that were delivered by Democrat special interest groups. Both main political parties have become so corrupt in their quest for power that they trample on the Constitution as if it were a doormat.

The 10th amendment disallows most federal law that has been passed over the last 50 years. The 10th amendment states; "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

This is a simple statement to understand. Only the powers specifically stated in the Constitution are given to the federal government and all other powers are reserved for the individual states and the people. The federal government has become an overbearing monster that swallows up our personal treasure, involves us in illegal conflicts and erodes away our personal God- given liberties in the name of fairness. We the people have allowed this to happen because of our indifference to the rule of law and our sudden embracing of democracy, also known as mob rule. We are a republic, where all are supposed to be treated equally under the law, regardless of our social status. We are now becoming a democracy where the rule of the majority can quickly strip us of our fortunes, our rights and our dignity.

This is why we now vote Libertarian.

... and you probably thought I only married Hubby because of the uniform ... HA!! :o)

For The Funny Bone:

Japanese banks have been hit almost as hard as American banks:
The Origami Bank has folded, and we hear the Sumo Bank has gone belly-up too. Bonsai Bank plans to cut some of its branches. Karoke Bank is for sale and is going for a song. Meanwhile, staff at Karate Bank got the chop, and analysts report there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank, where workers fear they may get a raw deal.

Those Wacky Terrorists ....

... they're at it again! Dressing as women! They are sooo brave, don't you think? Gosh, I'm scared. Ewwww. I caught one of the cross-dressers below.

The dead (no pun intended) giveaway was the moustache. Plus, a lady really should not have such a deep voice. (Where's Dr. West when you need him? I feel a faint coming on ...)

KABUL, Afghanistan — U.S.-led coalition troops killed a Taliban commander dressed as women during a raid in southern Afghanistan, officials said Saturday.

Soldiers killed four Taliban fighters in Friday's operation, including the Taliban commander named Haji Yakub who was dressed as a woman to evade capture, the U.S. military said in a statement.

Yakub directed roadside bomb and suicide attacks against Afghanistan's government and coalition forces in Ghazni province, according to the statement.

Meanwhile, Afghan and coalition forces killed 33 militants when their patrol came under attack in southern Helmand province, a military said. The troops responded to the attack with small-arms fire and air support, it said. [Our guys are the BEST!!!]

In the Ghazni raid, the U.S. said coalition forces discovered Yakub as they questioned a group of women and children inside a compound. The Taliban commander was dressed in a burqa, a traditional robe that covers the entire body. He was killed when he "attempted to engage the force," the statement said.

Those wacky terrorists. What will they think of next? They are a laugh a minute, don't you think? I guess they're just *pretending* to oppress women. Maybe they secretly want to be one?

And you know how it is ladies. Applying makeup is an art form. Looks like they need some help in this department. Maybe the Obama girls can work for the terrorists now that they've outlived their usefulness. I hear they're looking for a job. We'll be happy to send them to Kabul. Postage Due, of course.

Be Sure To Edify One Another

The morning after .... sounds like an advertisement for a pill, doesn't it? The morning of November 5th there were many Americans very happy and many extremely sad, broken hearted, frightened.

For all who feel anxiety, I do humbly pray that I may edify them.

Here's a nice quote I found from someone called "Daddy Brown" (I don't know who he is/was):

"Do not be shocked or amazed at anything that takes place in America today as the America you are talking of is no more. It is a new America whether we like it or not. But remember, the America in your mind and heart died a while back. (A little at a time she died and many were not watching). As we took the prayer from our schools, allowed abortion clinics on every corner, people come over our borders with no background checks - Criminals, drug runners, and we allowed drugs and gangs to take our streets, she gave and gave till there was no more to give and America died... Love the old America, the place you were born, the country that once gave Hope, the land that you were so proud of and just learn how to live in this new America and pray for the souls of mankind as the Rapture will soon arrive.

If people are not ready, they will go to hell and there is nothing you and I can do to stop it except make sure those around us know the TRUTH so we can join one another in Heaven.

This America belongs to Satan for now. Just know there is a better tomorrow-No matter what happens in America."

That's a good point. We mustn't worry. Doing so won't add a day or a moment to our lives. God cares even for the little sparrows and knows all the hairs on our heads. He knows the ultimate outcome and will hold His believers in His loving hands. That's amazing to me how much He loves us ... even when we humans deliberately perform destructive acts and sacrifice the next generation to the false god of convenience. ♥ ∞

A Little Election Day Humor

Today is the *big day* here in America, when our voices and opinions can count more than ever. Well, what's done is done.
Let's just reflect on our actions.
There's no turning back now.
The die is cast.
So, here's a little humor along the way.
Hopefully the ride in that handbasket will seem a little merrier....

"Take it from me -- elections matter." Al Gore [Really?? Well, duuuh!]

"I'm older than dirt, I've got more scars than Frankenstein, but I've learned a few things along the way. " Sen. John McCain

"Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies." Groucho Marx [I'm with you Groucho.]

"To lodge all power in one party and keep it there is to insure bad government." Mark Twain

This About Covers The Election

Here in America, politics and various opinions, seems to be everywhere right now. Even at one of our favorite web sites, MyGreatRides, this seemingly never ending election is on almost everyone's lips and minds.

Now y'all know I'm not usually very political on my Blog. I am in real life, as I know what I believe and will not be swayed from it. I just chose to be lighthearted and fun on my Blog because that is also a part of me. I like to help people smile and feel loved.

But if you'll just bear with me a moment, I want to share this with y'all.

In one of the forums, a gentleman with the nickname "Doc Crow" started a General Discussion on this very subject. He stated that he was dining somewhere for lunch and he "... passed a homeless guy with a sign that read, 'VOTE OBAMA: I NEED THE MONEY'. Once inside the restaurant, I also noticed that my waiter had on an 'OBAMA FOR '08' tee shirt." So, Doc started thinking that maybe this was a good idea and when the bill came, he refused to tip the waiter. He continues the event by saying "I explained to him that while he had given me exceptional service, his tee shirt told me that he believes in Senator Obama's plan to 'redistribute the wealth'. I told him I was going to do just that and 'redistribute' his tip to someone that I deemed more in need -- the homeless guy outside. " The waiter angrily stormed away.

Doc then went outside and gave the homeless guy the $3 tip and told him to thank the waiter inside, as he had decided he could use the money more.

Folks, listen to me, this is what Senator Barrack Hussein Obama, Jr. wants to do with our money. What gets me is apparently people are lining up to vote for him.

Well, there's a sucker born every minute.

My wonderful husband wrote the following response to Doc's post:

"One of the founding fathers of our REPUBLIC not democracy [basic definition of democracy----mob rule], stated that the republic they had fought so hard for would be finished as soon as enough citizens figured that they could elect the officials who would gladly tax the wealth of others and buy the votes of the lazy by "redistributing" the wealth.

Truely a prophecy whose time has come. The public education system in this country has managed to dumb down enough people so that the majority now believes we are a democracy. Individual rights no longer matter ...... the tyranny of majority rule has now fallen on us and our God given sacred rights will evermore be in jeopardy.

We have one presidential candidate who openly endorses Marxist doctrine and another candidate who won't call him on it. The votes of both these men and most of their colleagues in the Senate and House show either they have no knowledge of the US Constitution or no use for it.

Washington, Jefferson, Madison and the other founders who risked their lives, their property and their sacred honor are surely turning in their graves.......and we who should have been vigilant in our loathing of tyrants should be ashamed."

My husband is a wise man. I love my country and pray earnestly that others will listen to the warning signs. I don't want to lose what little freedoms we have left.
