You DON'T Say!?

Super Comments Award

Surprise, surprise, I won an award! This little number was bestowed upon yours truly yesterday by Valerie at It's A Wonderful Life. Thanks Val!

I'm suppose to pass it on to 5 fellow bloggers who leave nifty comments.

WELL!!

That's easy. To the people who's comments always make me smile and make my heart skip a beat with joy ... I pass this on to ... the envelope please ...

1. Carey of Carey's Corner

2. Dennis at Pappy's Balderdash

3. Iva the 'turtle mom' at The Horizontal Yo-Yo

4. Mildred at Nalley Valley

5. Marie at Voila! Vintage Postcards

Now y'all pass them on to your five, and so forth, and so on.

I have many, many more but am only 'allowed' 5 according to the rules.

Thanks y'all and enjoy your award. You deserve it. Have a wonderful Sunday! :o)

Like, I'm So Totally Awe-summ, You Know?

Thank you Janeen at ChachanNeen for the Awe-Summ award. You are such a sweet gal. You're always so kind and I feel especially blessed. :o)

Janeen posted this award a couple of days ago, but like the lady that backed into her typewriter, I'm getting a little behind in my work.

Between gardening, running errands and regular household duties, it's been rather hectic of late.

The idea here is to list 7 things that make me awesome. This took some thought. I don't really care to sit around contemplating my strong points. Here lately I'd rather just contemplate my navel. At least I could rest awhile. [giggle]

1) I try to always have a good sense of humor, even in bad situations. I kid a lot but it's with affection.
2) I enjoy making others laugh and have fun. This brings me pleasure too.
3) I tend to be quite good at discerning others intentions. I can spot a bully from 30 paces ... and drop them in 20. [giggle]
4) I'm quite good with animals. Hubby said I should be a Veterinarian but I know I could never remember all those $60 words and medical terms.
5) I've had great successes with locating people, dead or alive.
6) Accounting, and subsequently research, is a strong point with me. I can trace a paper trail better than most. Even bad guys leave a paper trail. [wink]
7) I try to always "die daily to sin and be more alive to God". My Lord Jesus makes me strong in all the things listed above and hides my weaknesses in His goodness.

Alrighty then, if you're still with me [yawn] I'm suppose to pass this on to 3 ladies (sorry guys) who I think deserve this award. Actually, I would prefer to give this to ALL my bloggy friends, but rules are rules.

Envelope please ...

I've decided on in no particular order:
1) Margo at Life In The Short Lane
2) Linda at Life's A Calling Who's This?
3) Margaret at Nanny Goats In Panties

These lovely lady's consistently make me smile and help me get through the day.

There ... it was nice to do something that didn't involve wearing gloves.

Sisterhood Award

My exceedingly funny and multi-talented bloggy friend Muse Swings gave me an award today. Way cool! I'm totally delighted and very humbled. Thanks 'Moosey Musey'. I'll wear it with pride.

Now, I'm suppose to share it.

No problem.

But unfortunately, and I apologize for this, I don't have time to spell out all my bloggy friends today and I do love you all. I wouldn't want to accidentaly skip someone. I enjoy hearing about your lives and the wonderful comments that get left here for me to read. That means a lot to me. You are very appreciated my friends. So, if you're here at my blog, feel free to 'take' the Award. I'll share it will all my sisters in Christ, including back to Muse Swings.

Have a wonderful Sunday! God bless y'all. Thanks for stopping by.

No Applause, Just Throw Money

Well, well, well. Imagine my surprise when Jennifer at We're In Good Shape gave my humble little blog an award.

ME! Mwa! Oh, thank you! Air kissy kissy! Thank you! I would like to thank the little people who made all this possible ... Oh, they love me so! [giggle] Nah, I really am touched ... and humbled ... and all that good stuff.

"This award acknowledges the values that every Blogger displays in their effort to transmit cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values with each message they write. Awards like this have been created with the intention of promoting community among Bloggers. It’s a way to show appreciation and gratitude for work that adds value to the Web.”

Well, I don't know that I do all that but I am opinionated.

So, I am suppose to pass this little jewel on. Can you feel the tension in the air? Stop yawning out there!

I want to give it to all my blog buddies but I think I'm only suppose to choose about three. So, these are my choices:

1. Pappy's Balderdash by Dennis ~ I finally found someone as opinionated as me but he's better at articulating thoughts. I tend to get distracted when writing ... oh, look, a bunny ... what was I saying? Oh, and he and wife enjoy motorcycles too. It doesn't get any better than that. Careful there, he's a retired cop. Now keep your hands where I can see 'em mister ... !

2. Nanny Goats In Panties by Margaret ~ Yeah, you heard me right. They wear panties, wanna fight about it? [lol] Nah, she's not confrontational but from her hilarious take on Rosy Palms (ya gotta read it) to how it sucks to be in Hawaii when it's freezing cold back home, she's really, really, really funny. Really.

3. It's The Dirt by Lanny ~ No, no, it doesn't have X rated posts. Not that kind of dirt! Really people, get your minds outta the gutter. It's because you read Rosy Palms above isn't it? [sigh] Anyway, Dirt is her husband's nickname. They farm. Have livestock. Farm some more. Share recipes. Her blog is so entertaining that even her comments are worth having at your blog. Make friends with her and see for yourself.

So enjoy. Now don't bother me anymore. I'm feigning Writer's Block and enjoying the brief hiatus.

ROFLOL!! And truly, many thanks again.

Best Blog In 2008

Cynthia at Muse Swings and Janeen at ChaChaNeen have both bestowed this fun and adorable award among 15 blog worthy places to visit and I'm humbled and honored to be among them! Both are charming ladies loaded to their fingertips with quick wit and gentle kindness. Cynthia's wonderful way of looking at life keeps many of us amused and in stitches. Janeen is my sometimes 'secret agent' buddy on many Blog Adventures and she is also loads of fun. If you're not already following their blogs daily they are well worth the visit. They are consistantly entertaining.

Thank you ladies very much. Shake paws. I am deeply humbled by your kindness.

I am suppose to name 15 blogs that deserve this award.

Hmmm ... unfortunately, I am blessed with mostly the same blog friends that are also Cynthia's and Janeen's blog friends! What to do!? What to do!? Well, for now, this one time, I will bow out in passing an award on openly. I feel like all my friends deserve this award because I enjoy your posts and comments immensely. There are so many creative, intelligent folks out there.

I especially enjoy Linda and Iva's blogs. They are both excellent writers and I don't think they've been nominated yet.

Soooo, if you're here feel free to "take it".

Now sit. Stay. Take the award. Good girl (or boy). [lol]

Happy New Year Y'all!!

God bless!

Christmas Spirit Award

Groovy! I won another award!

This one is from my bloggy friend, and sometimes
blog secret agent buddy, ChaChaneen (aka Janeen).

Christmas Spirit Award

I'm suppose to name the 5 things I love about Christmas ...

OK, what I love most is ....

1. ... receiving all the Christmas cards and newsletters from people we don't usually get to hear from.

2. ... singing Christmas carols with family and friends.

3. ... driving around looking at all the Christmas decorations and lights.

4. ... eating all the sweets and yummy food dishes cooked by all our delightful Southern cooks. YUMMMMM.

5. ... the extra sweet, loving way people treat one another this time of year. I wish the good will would stay year round.

Then ... I'm suppose to pass it on to 5 friends.

1. A Little Birdie Told Me So ~ Stevie Wren's wonderful posts and terrific drawings are well worth the visit. She and granddaughter Avery have many 'adventures' together. It's fun! Stevie is a charming Christian lady.

2. All About Whatever ~ Rosezilla is a talented writer. Her posts are always good. She loves to garden and is quite good at that too.

3. Carey's Corner ~ Chaplain Carey's inpirational christian posts have helped me and many others through many a hard day. He and his family are great folks with good hearts.

4. Life's A Calling, Who Is This? (fka Chicken Soup) ~ Linda's insightful posts keep me very entertained. She's a sweet southern christian lady that homeschools her child. It's fun reading her blog.

5. Voila! Vintage Postcards ~ Marie displays beautiful vintage postcards. Visit her blog for lots of great gift ideas too. She's very talented.

Enjoy y'all!

Este Blog Investe E Acredita Na Proximidade! Yeah, It's Another Award.

NanaTrish (also known as Blue Foot this week .. ha ha) of Nana's Living The Dream has honored my humble bloggy home with another award! Nana lives in Blog Land that I am priviledged to call Friend.

This is the special "Proximidade" award. This award is a fine one because it focuses not on the glory and fanfare of blogging, but in the PROXIMITY to one another through this on-line world (kind of a Six Degrees of Separation sort of thing).

I wonder who the guilty party was that started all this award giving?

Anyway ...
"Blogs who receive this award are 'exceedingly charming' say its authors. This blog invests and believes in the PROXIMITY-nearness in space, time and relationships. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

Nearly everyone I know has this award. I could only come up with 5 recipients (sorry) but I am proud to pass this award to:

1) Steviewren at A Little Birdie Told Me So

2) Rosezilla at All About Whatever

3) Linda at Chicken Soup

4) Marie at Cpaphil Vintage Postcards

5) Steve at Wiregrass Musings

Y'all enjoy! And thank you for being my Bloggy Friends (especially my husband, Wiregrass Steve).

Off subject, it has been EXTREMELY cold here in Southeastern Georgia! Last night it was 29 degrees! Every morning we awoke to frosty grounds. I know I got some giggles from some blog friends because they live further north. :o) Well, that's cold for us! I wish now I had been keeping track of how many days of frost we've had.

Motorcycling has been put on the back burner .... one would REQUIRE a burner in one's pocket to ride comfortably ... because of the cold. Try imagining 65 mph wind in one's face for over an hour at a time. Extreme weather can wear one down physically and that can be so hazardous on 2 wheels. I try to always dress appropriately but it's still tiresome, so, we keep them parked until balmier days.

Is it Spring yet?

Butterfly Award

I received The Butterfly Award this week from Joann and Jack! This very nice couple live in Virginia. I am greatly honored that they think so much of me, especially considering that their blog is so much better than mine! This does inspire me to take better care at snapping photos and also the quality of what I post at my blog. I will try harder to be more inspirational and appealing.
So, to use a common vernacular, and with tongue firmly ensconced in cheek, here be da rules:

1. Put the logo on your blog. [Check]
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you. [Did that]
3. Nominate 10 other blogs for this award. [Oie, vey ... 10!? .. sigh]
4. Add links to those blogs. [I can do that]
5. Leave a message for your nominees on their blogs. [I can do that too]
6. Give a reason why you consider their blogs cool. [Cripes! I have to write something about each entry! Holy Toledo! Brain ... don't fail me now!?]

My Nominees:

1. A Little Birdie Told Me So.
2. Bygone Beauty.
3. Carey's Corner.
4. Chachaneen.
5. Chicken Soup ...
6. Cpaphil Vintage Postcards.
7. Muse-Swings.
8. Nana's Living The Dream.
9. Tea Time With Melody.
10. Wiregrass Musings.

I will lump my writing into one review. I've reinjured my neck and am having severe neck/shoulder pains again [looks like another doctor's visit is called for ... and I thought I was done with that for awhile ...]. Therefore, I am having a difficult time focusing in on my thoughts and sitting in my office chair. I apologize for taking poetic license.

With no further ado, I would like to say this about all my nominees:

First, Wiregrass Musings is my husband and is therefore not included in what is written below because, of course, I do know him personally. I know he's a good person. I hope it doesn't bend the rules to award him too. His blog is always so well written. He is a great guy and a terrific writer. Hubby is new to Bloggy Land.

Anyway, the remainder of my nominees are all blogs I read daily because they're informative, well written and they make me feel good about life in general. These are good people that I feel are not just good in this artificial cyber world. I think I know them all by their character [some are more character than others .... smile]. They're the type that if you knew them in 'real' life, there would be an instant rapport. They're the type that would stop and help you on the side of the road if it appeared that you were in distress. That to me, speaks volumes about a person's character. Actions do speak louder than words.

So, congrats everyone! Have fun with the new award. Keep Blogging!

Premio Dardos Award

My blog has received yet another award! This one is called Premio Dardos. Why do all Latin based words sound sexual to me [did I say that!!??] ... anyway, the gracious giver is from my new bloggy pal, Tea Time With Melody. Thanks Melody!! You are a kind and generous person, as always.

This award is given for recognition of cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values transmitted in the form of creative and original writing...that's the general idea.

The rules of this award are as follows: show the image of the award on your blog, link back to the blog that gave the award, and nominate 15 other blogs that you consider deserving the same.

So here are my 15 of my personal favorite blogs:
15. Voila! Vintage Postcards

They all make me think, sometimes cry and always bring a sparkle to my day.

If any of y'all already have this award or you're just not interested, then feel free to ignore this offer. Just wanted to let you know you're welcome to it and that I consider you all my BFF's (Bloggy Friends Forever). :o)

God blessings to you all and have fun!! Thanks again Melody. I am really touched. ♥ ∞

Blogging Friends Forever Awards

Greetings Y'all,

I have decided to give my own BFF (Blogging Friends Forever) Awards. Here's one I designed today. I hope to design more over the coming months as time permits.

My Rules: There are none.
I'm not going to have some complicated rules about giving the Awards. Just like true friendship, it's free and unfettered. If I, or a friend, gives one of my awards to you and you wish to share with your other friends, please do so with my blessings.

All I ask is please put a link back to this Blog. I will try to keep my Blog interesting and always kid friendly. I have young relatives and wouldn't want them to see something inappropriate here. :o)

So, if you want one, just holler over the back fence and I'll be happy to send you one full size. Or right click this one, chose 'Save As' and place it on your harddrive.

Enjoy! ♥ ∞

Here's a new Award I designed today.

I have loads of ideas, so, there's no telling where this will stop! I wish I was better at computer graphics.

If y'all have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment here. I'm not very creative but sometimes even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then.

Enjoy! ♥ ∞
