Blogger Help Website: Southern Speakers v3.0

Briefly, I found what I think is a very useful website for help with blogger. It's strangely titled "Southern Speakers v3.0".

Recently, while rearranging gadgets on my blog, I must have accidentally deleted the Followers gadget, and for the life of me, couldn't find it again! It was so aggravating. Blogger's alleged "Help" is clueless. I found the answer I needed at Southern Speakers.

Seems like I'm always running into some kind of problem or question here at Blogger. I've clicked on the 'follow' it feature at his blog in case anything unusual happens like this again. Judging by the past, I'm sure it will.

A Shoutout ~ Please Welcome The Reluctant Patriot

I have decided to start another blog titled The Reluctant Patriot that is dedicated to keeping our American Judeo-Christian ideals and culture alive. As I've told many of my friends already, this blog (My Thoughts Exactly) will be my "foo foo fluffy" blog and mostly deal with my life in 'wiregrass' Georgia.

Why the title "Reluctant Patriot"? Because, for the most part, I'm really not very political at all. I would much rather be riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, knitting booties, attending a real tea party or some other non-taxing event. You get the picture. Things that don't strain my blonde brain. But, thanks to REAL taxes and intrusion on our personal freedoms, many of us have been forced into fighting a war to protect these rights and God given freedoms. So, at The Reluctant Patriot I will report on almost strictly politics. No PC talk there (or here either)!

Well, I hope you'll join me!? And as my ancestors in the First American Revolution said, 'Victoria vel nex' (Victory Or Death)!

Thank you dear ones. Your wanting to read any of my blogs is so very appreciated. God bless! :)

Sparky's Celebrity Look-Alikes

As usual, Muse Swings started this. "But Mom, Li'l Cindi started it!" She issued a Double Dog Dare for all us go make our own Celebrity Look-Alike Collage.

Well, at least I don't resemble one of the Marx Brothers or Dracula. Not too bad, not too bad. I'm deeply honored that I resemble Lucille Ball! Wow, she is one of my favorite comedians. Hubby always says that I'm a big clown too.

Now go make your own. It's free at MyHeritage.Com. Click on Celebrity Collage to create your own.

... and I Triple Dog Dare ya!! :o)

Have fun y'all.

Tan Lines And The Weather

funny pictures of cats with captions
more animals

The weather has been so yucky here of late. I would welcome even odd tan lines right now.

I'm sitting here, waiting for the doctor's office to call about my soon to be neck surgery. It's almost lunch time people! (Have they forgotten? Lost my phone number? Should I call them??)

[pacing the floor]

And it just rains ... and rains ... and gets colder ... then it's overcast ... then it rains again. So depressing.

[heavy sigh] [more pacing]

Could someone pretty pleeeeeze with sugar on top send some warmth and sunshine!!? I need to get out of this house! I need to get some delta breeze on my knees! It sure would cheer me up to no end! For me, motorcycling is my 'drug' ... my therapy in a world of tedium and madness. Going without the wind in my face for too long makes me weird(er). HA!

My First Motorcycle
1979 Kawasaki KZ650

Oh, by the way, the above photo of the very cute kitty is from a fun website with a silly name: Lolcats 'n Funny Pictures of Cats. I've bookmarked it for future, um, 'reference'. [smile]

Stay tuned Sports Fans ...

*** UPDATE AT 3:20 PM - Doctors office said the surgery will be February 4th (Wednesday). The 'procedure' will be out-patient! Too cool! :o))) I like sleeping in my own bed. ***

I'm A Colon :

So my good bloggy friend Linda at Life's A Calling Who Is This did this on-line survey. Seems I'm a "colon"?!

You Are a Colon

You are very orderly and fact driven.
You aren't concerned much with theories or dreams... only what's true or untrue.

You are brilliant and incredibly learned. Anything you know is well researched.
You like to make lists and sort through things step by step. You aren't subject to whim or emotions.

Your friends see you as a constant source of knowledge and advice.
(But they are a little sick of you being right all of the time!)

You excel in: Leadership positions

You get along best with: The Semi-Colon

And this result is after I got took in by the Joke today!? Go figure!? Well, when I make a mistake, I make it BIG!! ha! I did check with snopes.com first, honest Injun. Deepest apologizes buddies. I think what happened was our little 4 year old niece is very ill and I'm quite distracted. She has pneumonia and is very sick. Has me very, very, very concerned.

PS: Hubby is a "colon" too. Toooo funny!

My Simpson's Personality Test

Alrighty then, so, my bloggy friend Cynthia at Muse-Swings had one of these Personality Tests thingy's at her blog, and I just had to try one! Monkey See, Monkey Do (that's me)!

Here's my results ...

You Are Mr. Burns

Okay, so you're evil...
You have big plans to rule the world, and you'll destroy it in the process if necessary!
You will be remembered for: the exploitation of the masses.
Life philosophy: "One dollar for eternal happiness? I'd be happier with the dollar."

Well that was enlightening! And a little troubling since I am an Accountant ... don't you think?!? [roflol] Now you'll go into work Monday and look askance at all your Bookkeepers and Comptrollers. Hmmmm .... maybe that's actually a good idea ...

Anyway, I enjoy visiting Blogthings website. It has so many funny 'tests'. And can be quite revealing.

Have a great Sunday y'all!

Blogs Of Note - Art Car Central

Does anyone ever visit the Blogs of Note under your Reader's List here at Blogger? I visit them occasionally to see what's recommended that month. Sometimes they recommend fun ones but mostly they're not as good as the one's I visit daily ... like y'alls. :o) They should recommend all of ours, shouldn't they?!! We're all much more fun, especially when there's a BlogLand Tour taking place.

This time Blogger did link to blog I enjoyed called Art Car Central. It's just the way it sounds: the guy collects photos and videos of unusual cars and motorcycles. It's really well done. The most interesting post to me was The Phone Car. As some may or may not know, my husband is a retired phone man with BellSouth (41 years service). I would love to have something bizarre like that to ride around in, but I have no shame. [smile] If you have a some time to kill, pop on over and give the guy a visit. It's really interesting.

Enjoy!

WebStar West Clipart

I have a real weakness for pretty, creative clipart to add to my blog or web site. As my husband would say, I have to 'trash it up' and make it glitter. [lol]

This evening I found a nice web site title WebStar West that offers Blossoms, Butterflies, Fairies, Fish, Florida, Frames, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Birds, Lancaster, Flower Arrangements, Backgrounds.

Thought you might want to check this out for yourselves. Do y'all have any web sites that you frequent for such inspiration or to enhance a blog / web site? Please share. I'm always on the hunt for the 'perfect' graphic (especially if it's FREE). Or do you create your own? I can create simple graphics but nothing elaborate or animated.

Have fun!
