  1. MMMMM. I've had to turn off the news for some time now. But then I am in here (bedroom) and the news is on the radio. ey yi yi. Puttin' on the earphones. Can't tell which is worse; the constant drip, drip, drip, of the doom and gloomers (new prez being the chief of these) or the ridiculousness of a news broadcast including the crap that was on reality tv. (oops can I say cut rate auto parts over here?)

ahh wadda we gonna do Spark? I hope the whole group implodes soon, I am willing to take the pain in order to correct the ailment. I hope that the whole bail out doesn't work, I hope that the CEO's run off with the money and it all goes to the dung heap. Same for this stimulus plan. Hope it is undeniable, even by the insane, that it is an utter failure. And yes we, the nation, would lose a lot of money, but like Dirt says, good education isn't cheap, and he isn't talking inflated tuition to institutions. Hold on, just in case my wish comes true, we may all feel it eventually.

  2. Oh, Sparky, this is sad but so true. You know we're kindred spirits on the mess our country is being led into :(

  4. It would have been funnier if it weren't so true. What's worse, nothing that is being done now will do anything to fix the problems, they're only making it worse, delaying the pending crash.

  5. It's not going to work, no need to wonder about that. Drive the wheels off the one you've got. Pappy

  6. Hi Lanny, I didn't mean to be depressing. Actually, I'm trying to find humour in a potentially devastating situation. I totally sympathize about turning off the TV, etc. Well, I pray that our Country will be successful inspite of the poor leadership because I do love it here and want my nieces and nephews to have good lives when I'm gone (I know you do too). :o)

Susan ~ Thanks for the kind words. Maybe together we can all pull it back up by it's bootstraps when it's time ... [wink] Thanks for the kind words.

Mildred ~ I always have a good day when you come visit! :o)

Tired Dad ~ They say that the secret to good humour is that an element of it must be true. Sad, but true. LOVE THE QUOTE!! Thanks.

Pappy ~ That's what we're gonna do. Hubby keeps all our wheeled vehicles in tip top shape anyway. He's an excellent mechanic and at our age, it's silly to be buying something new and having a [!gulp!] mortgage. No way Jose'! We're debt free and plan to keep it that way.

Thanks for stopping by y'all!! Try to stay warm. ♥ ∞

  9. Ha ha! You DID have writer's block! This was a wonderful pick. I'm so cut off from the AMerican news;; I really appreciate when you share things like this. Yes.. I can read the news on the internet but it's not really the same as living it and talking to people about it!
    Hugs,
    Marie
