Tuesday Tidbits

Hi y'all! Just briefly because the trauma to my finger is making me weary with all errands and housekeeping that still must be performed.

It has been raining like gangbusters for the past 12 to 18 hours. Our poorly maintained country dirt road is a bloody sloppy mess. Yesterday the battery in our 4 year old Nissan Frontier pickup died. These new jell batteries give one zero warning when they are about to quit. God is good. At least it's up under the carport and we do have other transportation. So, that must be dealt with today. In the pouring rain.

The Ortho Doc's office called in a new antibiotic for me. It's Sulfameth/Trimeth 400-80mg. Had my first pill with breakfast. So far, so good. No tummy upset or nausea or the other end. πŸ₯Ή

Our Church has decided to take on a new ministry which has me very excited! I'll share more later.

Amen?!? Well, we still need groceries. Guess we'd better get to it.

Thanks for asking, praying and hanging on with me through all this. Y'all are the best!! At least with all this time on my hands (pun intended) I've been praying for all of us and you more. May your day be blessed.

  1. Glad to know you are hanging in there...I know how those antibiotics can affect you and it isn't any fun. Praying you will not have any other issues to impede your healing. Yes, it is raining here today, and we need it. But we are also under a tornado watch, so we are keeping an eye on the skies through the dark clouds... Can't wait to hear what your church is going to do. Praying for YOU and your church and all of the above. Also, you mentioned KETO diet on my blog. I really don't understand what the KETO diet is. I guess I need to look it up and see if it would help me with all of my issues. Thank you.

  2. We've had lovely weather the last few days, but it's getting very cloudy now so rain may be coming.
Sorry about the battery - so frustrating!
Glad you got a new antibiotic. I hope it treats you better than the last!

  3. Glad to hear that the new antibiotic is working for you, Sparky. May your hand continue to heal, and the car battery be replaced without a hitch. Thanks for visiting me today, too.
    Blessings!

I love the thought that you pray for us. Thank you

  5. And here I thought only Arizona ate car batteries like M&M's. Praying that new Rx does what's intended with no nasty side-effects.
Keep safe and dry (as possible)!

  7. so glad the new meds are better. we have been blessed and had 2 batteries die in the garage and 1 at Walmart parking lot, just walk in and get the battery. we started looking at how old they are and just replace it before it dies. glad it did not strand you somewhere in the rain.. hope the battery doesn't break the bank..
