Friday Fotos

🌻 It's a short post this week. We've been busy mowing, cutting and removing old trees, burning leaves, and planting the flowers purchased from County Farm Plants in Baxley.

🌻 Steve noticed that Maggie photobombed the photo. I'm not surprised as she's almost always near at least one of us.

🌻 The finished product. The trellis in the middle is the Solar Butterfly Lights I bought on Amazon. They don't look like much here but are lovely at night (short video at YouTube).

🌻 Thanks for stopping by! I may not have time to post this weekend or I might do the Sunday Stealing. We'll see. Let me say hope the rest of your day and weekend are wonderful. Sending love and prayers. Catchya on the flip flop. πŸ˜Š

  2. I love the butterfly lights. I like quirky and fairytale like things in a garden. I put little things throughout my garden. Sorry you are aching now but it will be so worth it when its all in bloom. Have a lovely weekend.

    1. Oh, I like quirky fairy / angel type decorations too. Anything whimsical that isn't scary (if that makes sense). It's pouring rain right now. The flowers and veg's will probably take off like wildfire after this front moves through! Praising God for the rain. ❤️

That's a really cute picture of you!

  4. The butterfly lights are whimsical and gorgeous! Your garden looks like it's off to a great start, Sparky. No surprise that little Maggie would want to be a part of the scene. Did I mention that Maggie was the name of my last dog? It will always be dear to me.
    Blessings!

    1. I'm from Central Florida (Titusville) and can remember those days of year round trimming.
The video's not very well done but at least it shows how pretty they really are at night.
Have a wonderful day "cousin"! ❤️

  7. I love how you two (well 3, counting Maggie) seem to enjoy working together -- creating such beauty!
Did I see on another comment where your SIL lives in Port Charlotte? That's where my parents retired in 1981; where my mom lived until 2004. Wish I'd had a penny for every mile I spent driving down from Tampa/St. Pete most weekends. Ugh!

    1. Yes, she does live in Port Charlotte. Not my favorite part of the world for a multitude of reasons. Anyway, that are was slammed (again) so hard with the last hurricane. It was scary. The Federal Gov refuses to assist because they hate Gov. DeSantis. Everything is still an unholy mess with no trees, street signs, police protection, etc. plus it's so very expensive to live in Florida that they're trying desperately to get out of there and move near us. It's safer, cheaper, we offer better education, and they'll be near family. I hope they can move here before the next hurricane season. There's already offers on their house and it's not even listed yet. God is good! Thanks for stopping by. ❤️

  8. Sparky, I really love how you Embrace Life. I can feel the joy in getting your hands into the soil and just breathing the fresh air.
We have so many weeds that have produced 3 fold since we last worked in the yard. If it would stop raining long enough Dave and I could get out there again and do some "damage". Gets harder at 80 and 82 though.
