The Cardinal is a bright spot around the yard in winter. It's deep red plumage contrasts like a beacon among the barren gray-brown limbs of the oaks and maples and the dark greens of the pines and cedars. In a few weeks the yard will be filled with their song, as lovely as their feather cloaks.
They left us yesterday ,the wind and rain must have blown them to your house. Today it is cold but the sun is shining.

God just not 'make junk'! Bright colored birds are so nice against the snow or even just grey days.
