A Day In A Country Life

There hasn't been much going on in our neck of the woods worthy of note. However, today we had a friend drop by and help remove a 30 foot Red Cedar that was too close to the carport.
Notching the tree in preparation of a fall.

Thar she blows!

Now the fun begins ... disposing of all the limbs and debris.

And a pleasant surprise. An early Christmas gift from Santa.

I know, OMGoodness! It's a 'bling'! The necklace is made from Sterling Silver. The stones blue Tiger Eye. I nearly suffered whiplash during the last visit to the Tractor Supply Store and my husband noticed. He's such a sweetie. Now if I can just find a way the earrings wear it under my helmet ... (ouch) *lol*

Oh pretty! You need to find a party or host one yourself! All those wonderful branches need to be used. I am green with envy. How handy that it is Christmas season. Grab the containers and fill them up! =D

What a very special gift and so beautiful. I can see you now wearing them under your helmet! lol Glad you got the tree down so no danger if bad weather hits us this year. Sleep well.

Wow~ I'd think my hubby was dying if he gave me any gift especially jewelry. He's good to me in other ways, but does not do gifts. He doesn't think we need them. Says he didn't have them and doesn't see why the kids need them. I tell you he's a Grinch at Christmas. It's beautiful! Good to get that tree down. I found out the hard way that it's better now than when the ice hits as it did a couple of years ago. Ugh. Right through my ceiling.

Pretty bling. My husband is good that way too; he surprises me with jewelry and knows my taste.

I rely on the "whiplash" maneuver to buy me a clue as to what the missus likes. Without it, who knows what kind of kitchen appliance she might find under the tree :) Lookin' good! That's a good man!
