Funny Friday: Fawlty Towers BBC - I Know Nothing!

Instead of cartoons, I thought I'd share one of my favorite British comedies. Just recently, I obtained the entire DVD set of Fawlty Towers. John Cleese is a comedic genius, to be sure.

Brilliant! *lol*

  1. You and my daughter Jenn, she loves the British humor, shows, etc. I guess when she visited, she loved it even more. This is a good one! Happy weekend my friend.

  2. Oh Sparky !!! Thank you, thank you !!! This is wonderful. I have the whole set and will see an episode or two tonight.

"I learned it from a booook!"

    "Don't mention the war!"

    "Don't touch me. I don't know where you've been!"

    Memorable lines.

God bless you for cheering me up.

  4. Wonderful show, John Cleese is a madman, so talented. When he goose stepped around the dining room it was so funny.

  5. Everytime I watch John Cleese it cheers me up too. One of my favorite movies with him as the star is "A Fish Called Wanda". Classic.
Hope everyone's day is blessed. ~:)

  6. John Cleese was also in Silverado, in rather a straight role.
Also as Q in some later Bond films.

  7. I meant to add, that in those roles, I always expected him to break from character and go the full monty.

  8. Haha! I have always enjoyed his comedy (but I admit I don't own the DVD set) Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a classic! Sparky, you should have your blog family over some night for popcorn and movie night!

  9. @Ed ~ I remember those roles. I was also waiting for Cleese to break into character and start goose stepping at any moment. That man knows comedy.
@DaBlade ~ Excellent! Y'all are welcome for a movie night anytime.
    Have a blessed day. ~:)
