First to Baxley to lunch at Captain Joe's Seafood.
After a scrumptious meal of fish sandwich and a turkey burger, the trusty steeds carried us to a drug store to purchase a birthday card for our brother-in-law. Cards always brighten my day, so, I assume it's a joy for others. I hope so.
After insuring aforesaid birthday greetings was safely winging it's way to beloved brother-in-law, we took the long way around the barn home through the Bacon County countryside. Bacon county has some of the most interesting motorcycle roads in southeast Georgia. We had so much fun that we put more than 120 miles on the bikes.
It was truly a good day.
What was your day like?
Sounds like a great day. I was also out for lunch with my sister, a bit of grocery shopping and then home tongrab the grands from the bus. We woke up to winter and ended the day in spring 60F. Back to winter tomorrow. I have been trying to figure out the bird so I was glad that you think It is a cardinal. I am going looking for him tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSome days I hate this iPad...hope you can figure out the comment!
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been great. So happy you two had fun.
ReplyDeleteIt was a perfect day for a ride, or anything else. We had 81, blue skies and sunshine. Loving it!
ReplyDeletePam, it was warmer, sunny and, dare I say it...spring like! Yahoo! I planted seeds at the driveway gate, stop gap fixed a fence, got a horse in his correct pasture, got one horse untangled from wire, laundry, desk work and other stuff. A good, productive day but not as much fun as 120 miles on a 2 wheeler.
ReplyDeleteJust loved this post Sparky. Today is Wed..so..another 50+ near 60 here..beautiful & sunny. Payday..spent time with hubby going here and there. We also have some windows and the front door open. Blessings
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say something..lol..WHOA GF! Look at how long your hair is! LOVE IT!!! (Waving to Steve!) Blessings
ReplyDeleteHope you had a fun day and great lunch.
ReplyDeleteI just admire your free spirit. I wish I was more daring. I'm a scardy cat. The only one time I rode a motorcycle was with my cousin when I was 12 years old. He jumped a ditch with a bob wire fence and my behind and leg got the bob wire. That was when Evel Kineval was big and he thought he was the master of the cycle. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteI have only eaten rabbit one time.
ReplyDeleteDon't remember if I liked it. But I do like wild duck.
I love the fact that you send cards.
ReplyDeleteMe, too!
I love the internet; don't get me wrong, but there's something special about getting a card or letter in the mail these days.
Good for you!!
Happy and safe riding as you enjoy our beautiful spring weather!
