Postcard Friendship Friday (03/13)

Now how about this unique postcard someone found on eBay:

"Offered for sale on eBay is a possibly unique post card signed by Elvis and posted on January 15th 1955 (using a 2 cent stamp).

The post card reads "Dear Al. Your a heart breaker if you don't help me with my "Milk Cow Blues Boogie." Sun Records Thanks Elvis Presley" and it is addressed to Al Robinson KSYL Alexandria La.

The post card was taped in Al's scrap book so there are some tape marks on the edge.

Robinson tells the story about the postcard and about the only booking of an Elvis show he ever did (for 165 dollars) on the clip below.

In case you're wondering: bidding begins at 250,000 $US." Source: Elvis Information Network

Postcard Friendship Friday is hosted by my friend Marie at Voila! Vintage Postcards. Pay her lovely blog a visit if y'all have time.

Thank you. Thank you very much.

Very cool - and I love looking at the old stamps almost as much as the postcards! I fear I will not be bidding on this one, though :)

What an interesting find! You really should bid on it. We could have a bloggy bake sale or something to help you finance your purchase.

LOL Cute card..and then I started crying..not a good day here..not a good day. (was thinking about our troubles and they only got bigger, if it wasn't so serious, I would laugh.) ANYWAYS..I liked the card, it did make me smile and laugh. Blessings

I knew this card looked familiar; I have one of a very similar design (with the same punchline), but not used and certainly not signed by Elvis. I'll see if I can't post it tomorrow.

This post is udder nonsense. We're getting lots of rain right now. This should help the bluebonnets.

Too expensive for me! Anyway I like my cards in better condition.

I know, even if I felt so inclined, this card costs too much for me. If I had that much money I'd be rescuing people or investing it in more land.

Thanks y'all for stopping by. :o) ♥ ∞
