What's Your Favorite Cartoon(s)?

I admit it. I love cartoons! I'm a cartoonacholic. :o) It doesn’t matter if they’re animated or in the newspaper.

My favorite newspaper cartoons are:
Andy Capp
BC
Beetle Bailey
Blondie
Dennis The Menace
For Better Or For Worse
Garfield
Get Fuzzy
Grand Ave
Hagar The Horrible
Lockhorns
LuAnn
Middletons
Non Sequitur
Shoe
Snuffy Smith
Wizard Of Id

Zits

I read those nearly every day in our local Georgia Times-Union.

I don't like most of the new cartoons so most of my favorite animated cartoons are considered ‘old’ (1950ish-1980ish):

Foghorn Leghorn
Ren and Stimpy
The Simpsons
Tom and Jerry
Twitty Bird and Sylvester

Let's Go For A Nature Walk

"28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?"Matthew 6:28-30 6:28

Where I've Been All Week

Boy, that's me alright. I'm related to just about everybody in this multi-county area (Pierce, Ware, Bacon, Wayne, Appling, Atkinson, etc.). But I love them all and am happy to have so many cousins. [smile]

Anyway, sorry for being so quiet this week my friends. I've been so busy surveying and placing on-line internments at findagrave.com for Mt. Plesant Cemetery in Waycross. I take tombstone photos at cemetery's and post them on-line with complete biographies (if known) for people doing genealogy work. Some of these folks where my relatives but most are not. But I love genealogy research regardless. It's fun!

Plus all the driving back and to to Waycross taking Steve to the doctor and physical therapy. Looks like his therapy will have to be extended another two weeks. His left shoulder was in a bad way apparently.

And now we've been looking at houses and land For Sale. Yep, we've been giving serious consideration to moving. I don't know if we'll go through with it or not but we're thinking about it. I want to live on a paved road. I'm so tired of my motorcycle chain getting dirty and fighting our way down one mile of poorly graded road. But after looking at the crap that's on the market for over $200,000, our place is looking better all the time! I do think we live in Paradise and I love my little paid-for abode, such as it is. [sigh] Just wish the road was paved and we were 15 miles closer to The City .... Can't have everything. [grin]

Oh, and here's a cute little quiz at Blogthings I learned from another blogging friend, Thundercatt9 at Yahoo!Answers:

My Quiz Results:

You are a lively, ambitious, and passionate person.
You are driven to do well in life and aspire to great things.
You are most likely to succeed if you follow a proven path to success.
You don't mind putting in long hours to achieve your goal.
Your greatest skill is making something out of nothing.
You don't need much to feel inspired.
Your biggest stumbling block in life is your lack of self confidence.
You are a lot more capable than you give yourself credit for.
You're not quite sure what you're thankful for in life, it doesn't seem like there's a lot to be thankful for these days.

Sounds about right except for the self-confidence thing. I have enough of that to bottle it and sell it on the open market. There's not a shy bone in my body. Could be 'cause I'm of mostly Irish descent?

Enjoy y'all! ♥ ∞

International Motorcycle Show, 2009

This year, the International Motorcycle Show has been moved out of Atlanta, GA, to a much better location of Greenville, SC. That area of South Carolina is very pretty. For all our motorcycle friends, please consider attending, if possible. We will be there with other friends from Friday evening thru the entire weekend. For once I would like to see the Friday night show. There's lots of new motorcycles to view and sit on and new motorcycling products. Steve bought his Draggin Jeans at one show and I purchased mine later on-line. At the time, Draggin Jeans didn't offer women's sizes. Also, some manufacturers allow rides on their new motorcycles (with proper gear, proof of insurance, license). I highly recommend attending at least one of these in your lifetime. These events can be great fun.

So, here's the info for the next show in 2009:

Indian Summer Picnic

Welcome To Our Indian Summer Picnic
Where would I like to be today? Anywhere that doesn't have dogass gnats, lovebugs, mosquitos or summer heat and riding our motorcycles. Gosh, we can't wait to be on two wheels again. I've been waiting to ride with my husband. His physcial therapy for shoulder surgery is half over (yay!). We should be riding, hopefully, by the end of this week!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Mt. Plesant Cemetery, Waycross, GA

What a job I have taken on for myself! I am in the middle of surveying the Mount Plesant Cemetery in Waycross (est. 1837 A.D.), alone this time, since Steve is on the sidelines. All photos and known information is being uploaded to FindAGrave.Com. Plus, I will type up a list of who's buried where when it's completed. There must be over 600 people buried in Mt. Plesant and I'm only up to about 150 so far! I'm also locating Georgia Death Certificates (free on-line) when available and learning each individuals lineage, if someone is researching them. It's hot as the blue blazes again, the love bugs, mosquitoes and dogass gnats are as thick as thieves. The cemetery is overrun by sand spurs and fire ants. Many tombstones are broken, moldy, worn thin, or covered in tall weeds or bushes. My hands hurt constantly now. Gosh. This one is wearing me out. I'll bet it takes me a month just to take all the photos. Well, when I'm done, I hope there will be more people able to locate their loved ones. I've already found many that are related to me.

Today, after physical therapy we stopped at the Tharon's Barber Shop in Patterson. I need to get a trim too but have to wait for the female barber, Pat, to get back next week.

Happy Researching Y'all!

Physical Therapy Has Started

I've forgotten to share with y'all that Steve was finally approved for 12 physical therapy threatments on his left shoulder. He started this week at Open MRI in Waycross. Praise God, he is healing from his surgery rapidly now. We'll be back to riding motorcycles again VERY soon!

Have a nice weekend everyone! ♥ ∞
