Mr. Obama took the big airplane for a spin yesterday. Well, he decided that he would just fly over New York City without any warning.


"See all those big buildings there Barry?

Gosh, how dumb can someone be?!? Or maybe Mr. Obama is just incredibly narcissistic. (Duh, yah think?)

H.R. 45 Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing

This is very important. People need to be aware of yet another lie from Mr. Obama's administration. In the House, Rep. Bobby Rush [Democrat, IL-1] has introduced a new bill called the "HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009".

Apparently, even gun shop owners didn't know about this new bill because it is flying under the radar.

Basically, this bill would make it illegal to own a firearm, any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
. It is registered.
. You are fingerprinted.
. You supply a current Driver's License.
. You supply your Social Security Number.
. You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing.
. Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25.
. Failure to comply with any of these Hitler like tactics and you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
. There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.

The Government would have the right to come into your home and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

It is lengthy, but more and more people are becoming aware of this. Please pass the word along.

Doesn't all this sound like pre-1776?? When the English would just waltz into American homes and expect to be treated to their room and board? Our ancestors went to war over this very thing. So, FAILURE TO ACT ON STOPPING THIS BILL IS AT YOUR PERIL! This is one 'bill' in which whether you own a gun or not, it effects everyone. If they try to take our guns away from us, this is a hill we will die on. Period.

The best way to fight this encroachment into our lives and preserve our FREEDOM is to spread the news and "spring into action". Call, write, e-mail, camp out at representative's offices.

I would also suggest joining a pro-gun group like any hunting associations, gun clubs and especially the National Rifle Association. Hubby and I are members of the NRA. They are the big guns and can actively lobby to help prevent such loss of liberties.

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense. Their goal is to chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

Remember, the Second Amendment is America's original homeland security.

A Republic For Which It Stands

I recently had the priviledge to hear from the nice young lady, Dawn, that organized the first Anti-Tax Tea Party in Glynn County, Georgia. She asked if I would help spread the word about the next "Tea Party".

Well, I'll do my best. I'm not a very good writer but my heart is in the right place. [bump-bump] [bump-bump] lol

Dawn stated that the next "Tea Party" in Glynn county will be Independence Day, July 4th, 2009, at the Gascoigne Park. Not being familiar with the area as I am with our little corner, I Googled the Park and here's what I found: "Gascoigne Park is located near Epworth-By-The-Sea" on Saint Simon's Island. Good enough. Sounds lovely! And believe me, on July 4th in southeast Georgia, one heads for the shade very quickly, especially at my age. Heat just melts me like a bar of dark chocolate on a hot sidewalk. Ewwww.

Also, the organizers of the event are trying to raise enough money to rent the park, pay for advertising and other incidentals. The organizers of all these events need our prayers and support y'all.

I am also putting out feelers to see if one will be held in our area, preferably in Ware county (Waycross), Pierce county (Blackshear), Bacon county (Alma) and / or Wayne county (Jesup). I've left a message at Topix hoping to get a bite. If anyone knows of any such events, I would appreciate a Head's Up. We don't subscribe to any of these local papers so the Internet, word of mouth and Fox News is our only source of information.

If you don't live in the area, look for one in yours. I believe there will be these events all across America.

61 years ago, you were giving your mother a little trouble by being born backwards. Bet she didn't know that Heavens angels are born that way?!

I do. I know.

Because to the world, you may be one person. But to me, you are the world.

So Great Big Happy Birthday Wishes my dearest and sweetest, not a day goes by when you're not in my thoughts and how empty my life would be if you were not here.

Now, let's go eat some of that carrot cake reposing in the 'frig. :o)

Pre Birthday Celebrations

Tomorrow is Hubby's birthday.

This morning, I asked him what he would like to do today. His response? "Ride the bikes to the Buccaneer Club Restaurant and have my favorite meal." Hubby loves seafood! He's really a sailor at heart.

So, we hopped on the faithful steeds and took off for coastal Darien, Georgia. First we journeyed to that flea speck town of Ludowici again, then down Highway 57 to the town of Cresent. Doggone, if the restaurant wasn't closed! Oh well. No problem. We headed south on Highway 99 to just inside the Glynn County line (north of Brunswick) and had lunch at Mudcat Charley's.


I'm all ready for my tea party now. I'm even drinking iced tea!

You can't tell it from these photos but the restaurant was packed! The table of bikers behind Hubby had just left when I snapped this. It's hard to tell there's an economic downturn in our area. Everywhere we go, places are full of people, which, of course, is a good thing. It's always so sad to hear of a business failing and people losing their jobs.


I try to always check the bike over before hopping back on it.


There was a pack of Harley riders there when we arrived. They were "newbies", we could tell because they were snooty and had all their H-D regalia on that loudly proclaims "Look at me, I ride". Yeah, like, I'm so impressed.

As if!


Half way home, we stopped in Popwellville for a rest. We were getting really fatigued and decided to book it on home. All in all we rode about 150 miles today. It was a great day!


Now it's time for coffee and cake. I bought hubby his favorite, carrot cake. I'll just munch on my dark chocolate, thank you. [lol]


Oh, and I read this on the Triumph Tiger 1050 forum and thought y'all would enjoy it.

Apparently, it snowed there that year and it was very unusual. I just hope they don't expect me to shovel any of it as I've done enough yardwork this week. :o)
