Funny Friday ~ Nothing Loves You Like A Dog

"Dogs  Welcome"

A man wrote a letter to a small  hotel in a Midwest
town he planned to visit on his vacation.

He wrote: I would very much like  to bring my dog with me. He is well-groomed and very well behaved. Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room with me at  night?"

An immediate reply came from the hotel owner, who wrote:

"SIR: I've been operating this hotel for many years.
In all that time, I've never had a dog steal towels, bedclothes, silverware or pictures off the walls or use them as a coloring book.   I've never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly. And I've never had a dog run out on a hotel bill.

Yes, indeed, your dog is welcome at my hotel.

And, if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here, too."

  3. What a wonderful -post, Sparky! I love all the sleeping dogs/dog bed photos especially!

When I lost my Charlie last year, I lost my bedroom dog...he slept in our room for all of his 13 years and I miss him so. I know you miss your Maxie too.

  4. Sweet pictures and I enjoyed them all. 'We' animal folks see and feel things toward our 'babies' and maybe more so, than toward some humans!!!
Wishing you a good weekend and maybe some sunshine!

  5. I still tear up when I think of Max. I can't help it. I have my favorite photo of her off to my right on the desk. She's always looking at me with those loving, brown eyes, like she's waiting for the ball to appear. Little Maxie.
Thank you for the kind comments. You are all such fine friends. Hope y'all have an exceptionally happy, loving day in return.
    Luv ~:)

  7. Pam, that second photo is simply wrong...there's not enough room for me to sleep there because the dogs would have the bed!
As to being granted the wish my dog will live forever...with all my heart I believe the ones that are dead are waiting for me in heaven. In fact, all my animals...God loved them first.

  8. What a beautiful post. I love the pictures. I haven't had a dog for years, but this makes me want to run to the shelter.
I still miss my poodle so much. He died from epileptic seizures. I still cry when I think of him.
