Postcard Friendship Friday (03/27)

Texas Hill Country

We are going to be in the Texas Hill Country for two weeks or so and thought this would be appropriate for PFF day.

This postcard was found at Legands of America Lost Treasure of the Texas Hill Country website. There are some stories of buried treasure there.

PFF is hosted by my wonderful friend in France, Marie. See her link on the right hand side to visit her blog. She has many lovely vintage postcards. ============================>

  1. Have fun in Hill country and say hi to my son if you go through Austin!

Every time I'm out there we drive through Hill Country. Two years ago I went out there at Bluebonnet time. It was a pretty sight. My DIL said they have their own BBs blooming this year. It's beautiful...but compared to AL it isn't really what I would consider hilly. It's all relevant isn't it?

  2. Hi Stevie ~ We'll wave towards Austin and shout "Hi Stevie Wren's son"! Folks are so friendly there they'll probably pass the word along. ♥ ∞

Looks beautiful though, would like to visit that place and then because I'm not Pioneer woman, I'd have to stay at the hotel for the night, no tent camping for me. hee hee Have a great day!

Lovely postcard! I made me think of cowboy songs and the sounds of horse hooves on the rocks and clear cool water.

  8. I had no idea that Texas was associated with buried treasure. In Canada, Nova Scotia is the place with lots of suspected buried treasure sites. That's because there were pirate ships going up and down the eastern seaboard.

  9. Good to meet you, Sparky. Hope you have a wonderful time in the Hill Country. Taking your bikes, I assume.
The bluebonnets are beautiful. You'll have to stop by my blog, Genealogy Traces and see my Texas postcard. It's my first contribution to PFF.
