Yesterday morning, I visited the Orthodontist and had a routine procedure performed. I had my permanently glued in bottom retainer removed. It's been driving me crazy(er). After I made the second visit to same Orotho to pick up a new removable plastic retainer, my lip turned blood red, then the swelling and chills began. I thought, something happened in the Ortho's chair? A normal thought, yes? I returned this morning to see if anything can be diagnosed or done and they are at a loss too. Now I think that somehow I either came into contact with something that I'm either highly allergic of or have an regular run-of-the-mill infection that would started three or so days ago.
So, here I sit. Still in my jammies, bored out of my skull and wishing whatever this is, would take a powder. Little Sparky wants to go out and play on the motorcycle. I would also like to toil in the garden. The vegetables are looking really good. I hope the approaching 55 degree weather won't damage them in any way.
I hope everyone else is having a good day. I'm having a good one, just down for the count.

Wow! you have got a mystery sure hope you are better soon.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is a nice day here but a little cool.
Awe..I am sorry. If it gets worse or not better, please go to the ER. I sure hope it isn't a allergic reaction. Will keep you in prayer. Blessings
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Now...I'm a little worried, and it's not my jaw and lip, but I do worry about you.
ReplyDeleteDo get it seen about if it's not better as soon as possible.
Hugs to you,
Jackie
Sparky, how are you doing today? Have you determined if the reaction is allergic, or infectious? I guess it would be better maybe, if it were allergic (easier to treat I think), but both options are fraught with personal hazards to you! I sure hope you are better now! Please post an update, so we know, ok?
ReplyDeleteOh no! Just a question or two. You don't have any little red dots on your legs do you? My dad woke one morning with blood blister like places in his mouth and little red blood like dots on his legs and it was a blood clotting disorder called thrombocytopenia. Another thing is are there blister like places on your face? This could be shingles. Either way, see a medical doctor, please. Either needs prompt care. Not trying to alarm, but please be cautious!
ReplyDeleteIt's a cold sore with a fever down into my left gland! And a doozy too (of course, I can't do ANYTHING small). *smile* My husband took me kicking and whining to a new doctor today. I lost my "old" doctor thanks to O'blamer Care. Anyway that was his diagnoses. I'm on Acyclovir tab 800 mg 5 times a day and Cephalexin Cap 500mg twice a day. I still ache, especially my head. Doc was worried with the infection so close to my brain, but I told him not to fret. I'm blonde, so, there's not much up there anyway. He laughed all the way out of the room.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU everyone for the prayers and excellent advice. Seeing a doctor was the right thing to do.
Luv & Hugs all around ~:)
So very sorry about all this pain and discomfort.
ReplyDeleteI do hope the colder weather did not harm your garden plants.
