Smartphone

Guess who finally joined the 21st Century? And this was after I swore up and down that I would never, not ever, no way, cross my heart and hope to die, nuh uh, ever have a Smartphone and be able to text! So much for swearing.

Crow sure is tasty. *lol*

My husband has one too. So this afternoon we camped out on the couch (as if we have nothing else to do ... NOT!), he in his corner and me in mine, and we proceeded to learn how to use the newly purchased toys. Even though Technically Challenged, I still managed to download two very cool ring tones: Stairway To Heaven and Santa Baby.

Anyone in the market for two well used flip phones? *grin*

And, happy news, it's raining! Finally. Thank you LORD for your mercy. It has been dangerously dry in SE Georgia. Now that our one mile of shifting sand road will be ride able again, I picture a ride in our very near future, with the new smartphone to show us the route.

Now, how cool is that.

  2. I can never work out these new type phones. When mine rings I always press the wrong button and take a picture of my ear.

    Enjoy your new phones.

    God bless.

  3. Can't live without my smart phone--until I get sick & tired of being plugged in 24/7 and then I turn the darn thing OFF!
    Blessings, Friend!

  4. @Ed ~ LOL
@Victor ~ I did that! Took skewed, blurry photos of my boots, the wall, the books, .... *grin*
@Lulu ~ These things are so confusing (zero direction from seller, by the way), that it took both of us several minutes to figure out how to turn it off. I am so clueless.
    Have a blessed evening. ~:)

  6. I seem to always be a 'day late and a dollar short', but I applaud you for giving up the flippster! I still have mine so I will wait and see if you feel it is worth the change. Have a great 'rest of the day'.

  7. Glad to hear you are getting rain, I was starting to feel bad every time I blogged about rain.
We are still not in to the change but we do have a IPad.

  8. I started texting about six months ago, Sparky, so I GET not wanting to join the 21st century! Brother....I don't know what took me so long. But I have to admit I do miss TALKING to the people I now am texted by and get texts from.
Don't tell anybody, but Ed (above) has been known to email my blog DURING CHURCH SERVICE! HA!!

  9. I hated mine at first. My husband got it for me about a year ago and said, "You are going to learn how to do this." I had refused one but he said I needed to learn how and that the world was changing and I needed to change with it. Yeah, right. Well, if I hadn't learned how (and I'm still learning) I would never have been able to navigate around Nashville. Now, I can go anywhere with no worries. You go girl!

  10. I sometimes still miss my flip phone. Heck, John misses a crank phone! So, yes, welcome to the wonderful world of Smart Phones. Santa Baby? My phone rings like an old-fashioned phone because I don't recognize anything else. LOL! Yay for rain!

  11. My daughter bullied me into getting what I think is a smart 'phone about 4 years' ago, when I found it hard to get the coal for my old Nokia. I still think of it as a 'new' phone. Actually, as a 'phone it's not very good - it does everything else well, though, and makes a wonderful cup of tea. Want to wish you a very Happy Christmas and thanks for popping into my blog as you do!
