Dream Vehicle Sporty Tag

I was tagged by my new bloggy friend Maria went to Chicago. Thanks Maria! She chose the Bugatti Veyron. Wow. Excellent choice there girlfriend!

Here's the rules:
1. Just state what kind of sports car will you buy if you have a ton of money at the moment.
2. Don't spoil the fun y'all, please get back to me if you are done posting it and leave a comment stating the name and kind of the vehicle.
3. If you could link me to the post, it would be awesome!

Here's one of my dream vehicle .... it's a motorcycle! DUH!! Sorry, I don't like or want any cars.

1959 Triumph Bonneville

Technical Data
Engine: 649cc (40 cu. in.) parallel twin making 46 BHP at 6,500 RPM
Compression ratio: 8.5:1
Ignition: Magneto
Front tire: 3.25 x 19 in.
Rear tire: 3.50 x 19 in.
Gas tank capacity: 4 Imp gallons
Oil tank capacity: 5 Imp pints
Wheelbase: 55.75 in.
Weight: 404 lbs.
Front brakes: 8-inch single-leading-shoe drum
Rear brakes: 7-inch single-leading-shoe drum

"Named in honor of Johnny Allen’s 193 mph run aboard a Triumph-powered streamliner at the famed salt flats in 1955, the twin-carb Bonneville was officially launched at the 1959 Earl’s Court Motorcycle Show in Great Britain.

The versatile and fast Bonneville was a hit from the start, and the nameplate would remain in the Triumph lineup until the company closed its Meriden factory in 1983. Following the company’s reorganization in 1991, the Bonneville returned in 2000.

Manufactured in October, 1958, this particular Bonneville features a host of details unique to the first series of 1959 models, including the distinctive headlight nacelle, a pearl grey and tangerine paint scheme, a two-level twinseat and tall touring handlebars.

Jaye Strait of Britech New England Inc. restored this bike using only refinished original or new old stock parts. The engine and frame numbers match. It was restored to be ridden and reliable. It is a strong-running machine that has traveled only 410 careful miles since the restoration.

This Bonneville has been owned since 1991 by Robert H. Whitney and has won numerous bike show trophies. In addition, it was featured in Lindsey Brooke's 2002 book, Triumph Motorcycles: A Century of Passion and Power.

Best of all, you can win this Triumph and a new 2009 T100 50th Anniversary Bonneville in the Museum's raffle."

Now all I need is a Sugar Daddy to pay for it or excellent luck in the raffle ... I bought two tickets! Y'all can't enter the contest. It's mine, I tells ya, all MINE!! LOL

It doesn't designate how many people I should pick on, uh, tag. So I'm tagging just three victims ... friends:

JBA at In Good Shape
Lanny at It's The Dirt
Li'L Cindi at Muse Swings

I gotta see what they will do with this. Visit their blogs as they'll have you rollin' in the aisles before you leave, guar-an-tee. Enjoy!

Tagged! 7 Weird Random Things About Sparky ♥ ∞

SoulBrush tagged me to write seven weird random facts about myself.

1. I have faith in Jesus Christ first, foremost and always. Faith in Him has helped keep me sane in an insane and often unfair world. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

2. I love my husband with all my heart. He is truly my split-apart and kindred spirit. We've had a wonderful life together and I pray that God will allow us many more. I am his first wife (tee hee - he always jokingly says that) and he is my second husband. Our 30th Anniversary is next August 11th. I think he has something in the works already ... ??

3. I'm pretty easy going, smile easily, try to be generous to those less fortunate and don't like meanness or bullies. But I don't suffer fools lightly and don't tolerate laziness. But I do try to be kind to others no matter their attitude towards me. "A gentle word turnth away wrath ...."

4. I *!*LOVE*!* motorcycling (I'm a motorcyclist, not a 'biker' - I'll explain the difference for anyone interested). I'm really good with mechanical things and am a good rider. One feels so free on two wheels. It's just like flying on the ground! Wahoo! "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul." Amen!

5. My adopted mother died when I was 10. I was physically and mentally abused by my adopted father. The pain of his angry words still haunt me sometimes. The scars of his evil never leave and sometimes I revert to my old morbid self in self-defense (real or perceived) like a 10 year old child. I apologize for that. All I can add in my defense is that I am one of God's Projects Under Construction.

6. I enjoy my 1970's rock and classical music. It soothes me. "Music calms the savage beast." Although I can sing, I'm not truly musically inclined.

7. I'm really, really good at research and following a paper trail, whether it's following a person or an accounting trail. For me, genealogy and accounting go hand-in-hand. Following out something like that is similiar to a good Agatha Christie mystery. I've been granted special recognitions at some of the places I've worked for my talents. It's a gift.

Guess I'm kinda boring but I try to always be a nice person with a good sense of humor.

I am suppose to tag others but I think this madness will stop with me . [lol - just teasing SoulBrush] Just too tired this week. I'm just not 'in the zone' right now. I think I have Election Day Hangover from all the stress and turmoil, plus Maxie had me worried. It'll pass. I watched this video by Assemblies of God. This 10 minute speech cheered me up but I'm still tired.

Next time I'll tag others with glee. ♥ ∞

Tagged and Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I've been tagged by Soul Brush for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month (VERY good cause!). This is my first time so if I err please feel free to correct. I promise not to get above my raisin'.

1. Clothes Shop: Not much of a clothes horse (as one can tell from my photos, uhhum). If Wal-Mart doesn't have it, I don't need it. But I do like Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's.

2. Furniture Shop: Funny, we were just discussing this today. If I NEVER have to buy another stick of furniture I'll consider myself fortunate. I always feel ripped off after buying any.

3. Sweet: Hmmm ... DARK CHOCOLATE!! And I mean 85% pure or more. 'Nuff said. [drool]

4. City: I do not like cities. At all. I'm a country girl through and through.

5. Drink: Oh yeah, I like my Dos Equis Amber (dark mexican beer). But am not adverse to Celestial Seasonings Honey Lemon Ginseng Green Tea (I call it hippy tea), coffee and lots of country well water.

6. Music: Hang on, here goes ... Alice Cooper, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Bad Company, Boston, Bread, Cream, Dazed and Confused, Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Eric Clapton, Guess Who, Jethro Tull, Jimmy Buffett, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynryd, Jefferson Starship, Moody Blues, Ringo Starr, Rolling Stones, Santana, Steve Miller Band, Ten Years After, The Doors, The Monkees, Three Dog Night, Who, most all 1970's Country, Classical. [whew]

7. TV Series: Don't watch Network TV Series. I do watch my 'toons though [duh]; Family Guy, The Simpson's (until abt. 2000, the new ones suck), Futurama.

8. Films: Don't watch most new movies. I'm tired of America or our President being insulted every time I turn around .... Anyway, favorite movies are: My Favorite Year, The Cheap Detective, Radioland Murders, Best Years Of Our Lives. I *love* old British comedies: Butterflies, Sweet 16, To The Manor Born, etc. Also most anything with Humphrey Bogart, Steve McQueen, Audrey Hepburn, etc.

9. Workout: Me too with the 'walking, talking and blogging'!! [bwwaaa]

10. Pastries: Cheesecake, anything with chocolate. [drool, again]

11 Coffee: Love coffee! That cheap Wal-Mart brand coffee is very good. They use Arabica beans. [yum]

Hey, that was fun! Thanks for tagging me.

Ok, ladies, and germs, I tag Chachaneen, JERRYSPEAK, Pappy's Balderdash and Wicked Gardener. Don't fail me y'all!! ♥ ∞
