National Day Of Prayer - May 2nd

The National Day Of Prayer has been set for May 2nd this year.

Please try to attend a local event. Our nation needs you.

"Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
-  James 4:7 (KJ 2000)

21 "Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you. 22 Accept instruction from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart. 23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored: If you remove wickedness far from your tent 24 and assign your nuggets to the dust, your gold of Ophir to the rocks in the ravines, 25 then the Almighty will be your gold, the choicest silver for you. 26 Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God. 27 You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows. 28 What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways. 29 When men are brought low and you say, 'Lift them up!' then he will save the downcast. 30 He will deliver even one who is not innocent, who will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands."
- Job 22:21-30 (New International Version)

"Prayer is simply a two-way conversation between you and God."
- Billy Graham

60th Annual National Day Of Prayer

Tomorrow, May 5th, is the 60th Annual National Day of Prayer.

One can search for a place to meet with other like-minded believers here. With all our very important requests and gracious "thank you's" to our Lord, please remember to pray for our nation and it's leaders. We have truly immoral, evil leadership. But as I think on this, I realize that our leaders are merely a reflection of our own immorality. Our nation is becoming like the fig tree that Jesus cursed and it withered. Perhaps our Lord Jesus will have mercy on us if we are of one mind and with one voice, have contrition and ask for forgiveness and His help.

Have a blessed day everyone.

"I will say to the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust." Psalm 91:2

A Reminder: May 6th, National Day of Prayer

Tomorrow, May 6th, is the 59th National Day of Prayer scheduled to be held here in America. I humbly urge all who love God to please participate in this heartwarming event. It may be our last "official" one with the way our government is leaning. So many in our government and military hierarchy now what to eliminate any reference to our Saviour Jesus. I was happy to see our local state Representative, Jack Kingston, calling for an investigation into why Rev. Franklin Graham and another Christian were disinvited to the National Day of Prayer. Good going Jack!

For those who may not know, Rev. Franklin Graham spoke the truth about Islam's treatment of women and calls it an evil and wicked religion. He was originally invited to be the speaker at a National Day of Prayer event at the Pentagon this year and those bunch of weenies up there said he wasn't invited any more.

This morning I heard that a poll done by Fox News, that 83% believe that God answers prayer! Isn't that wonderful!? I'm glad so many folks know this. But I say, of course He does. He answers ALL prayer, it just may not be to our liking. It is a "His will be done" situation, you know. And that's a good thing.

Let's all join together with our neighbors, friends, strangers, loved ones to pray for our nation. That we will turn back to Him and seek His face in all things.
"The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him" Nahum 1:7

Amen! He does care! May His will be done and may it please our Lord God in Jesus' name to bless our nation and help us win this spiritual war for so many souls.

May God forgive and bless our nation, even though we don't deserve it. I know our nation still has a lot of good to give to the world. "See ya in church y'all!" :)

ADDED WEDNESDAY 7:00 PM:
I have learned when our local event is taking place for anyone in this area interested --
BLACKSHEAR—The Pierce County Ministerial Association will be hosting a “National Day of Prayer” event Thursday at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Blackshear.
The theme for the event, taken from Nahum 1:7, is “Prayer .. For Such a Time as This.” Participating in the event will be Dr. Jesse Truvillion, of Blackshear Presbyterian Church, and his wife, Lt. Col. (retired) Jean Truvillion. Everyone is invited to participate in the 59th annual event to commemorate “National Day of
Prayer.”
